December 16, 2002 Page 53.3 UPON MOTION of Commissioner Carruth, seconded by Commissioner Privette and unanimously carried, the Board reappointed Betty Garmon, Annie Louise Hoover, Jack K. Moore and Linda B. McDonald to the Department of Aging Advisory Board for a term of three years ending December 31, 2005. (G-3) Centralina Workforce Development Board The Board received the resignation of Darrell Hinnant from the Centralina Workforce Development Board. UPON MOTION of Commissioner Privette, seconded by Vice Chairman Suggs and unanimously carried, the Board appointed Robert "Bob" VanGorden to the Centralina Workforce Development Board to complete an unexpired term ending June 30, 2004. (G-4) Con~nissioner Appointments to Miscellaneous Boards and Committees Commissioner Carruth resigned as the Commissioner member of the Public Health Authority and suggested the appointment of Commissioner Carpenter to fill that position. UPON MOTION of Commissioner Privette, seconded by Chairman Freeman and unanimously carried, the Board accepted the resignation of Commissioner Carruth from the Public Health Authority and appointed Commissioner Carpenter to complete the term ending June 30, 2004. UPON MOTION of Chairman Freeman, seconded by Commissioner Privette and unanimously carried, the Board appointed Vice Chairman Suggs to the Water and Sewer Authority to fill the position previously held by Arne Fennel. The term of appointment will end in June 2003. UPON MOTION of Commissioner Privette, seconded by Vice Chairman Suggs and unanimously carried, the Board appointed Chairman Freeman to the Water and Sewer Authority to fill the position held by County Manager Frank Clifton. Chairman Freeman's term of appointment will end in June 2003. Chairman Freeman resigned from the Criminal Justice Partnership Program Advisory Board and recommended the appointment of Commissioner Carpenter to that position. UPON MOTION of Commissioner Privette, seconded by Vice Chairman Suggs and unanimously carried, the Board accepted the resignation of Chairman Freeman from the Criminal Justice Partnership Program Advisory Board and appointed Commissioner Carpenter to the Advisory Board to complete the unexpired term ending April 30, 2005. Chairman Freeman resigned from the Juvenile Crime Prevention Council and recommended the appointment of Commissioner Carpenter to fill that position. UPON MOTION of Commissioner Privette, seconded by Vice Chairman Suggs and unanimously carried, the Board accepted the resignation of Chairman Freeman from the Juvenile Crime Prevention Council and appointed Commissioner Carpenter to the Council to complete an unexpired term ending June 30, 2003. The Board by consensus named Commissioner Privette as delegate and Commissioner Carruth as alternate delegate to the Centralina Council of Governments for calendar year 2003. Commissioner Privette suggested that Commissioner Carpenter replace him as the delegate to the Transportation Advisory Committee and that he serve as the alternate. UPON MOTION of Commissioner Carruth, seconded by Vice Chairman Suggs and unanimously carried, the Board named Commissioner Carpenter as the delegate to the Cabarrus/South Rowan Urban Area MPO Transportation Advisory Committee and named Commissioner Privette as the alternate delegate for 2003. UPON MOTION of Commissioner Privette, seconded by Commissioner Carpenter and unanimously carried, the Board reappointed Chairman Freeman as the Board's representative on the Local Emergency Planning Committee. The Board by consensus named Commissioner Carpenter to the position previously held by Arne Fennel on the Comprehensive Economic Development
