Bennett <br />Finance Director <br /> <br />Contract <br /> <br />CABARRUS COUNTY <br />CONCORD, NORTH CAROLINA <br /> <br />This contract is entered into this 20th day of August, 2001, by the Town of <br />Harrisburg and Cabarrus County. <br /> <br />The Town of Harrisburg and Cabarrus County, in consideration of the mutual <br />covenants, promises and agreements herein contained, agree as follows: <br /> <br />Scope of Work: Cabarrus County shall provide to the Town of Harrisburg the <br />services set forth in the Contract Documents consisting 0f planning and zoning <br />review and enforcement for a period from July 1, 2001 through June 30, 2002 <br />(Contract Term). <br /> <br />The scope of services shall include long range planning, subdivision regulation, <br />zoning plan review, zoning permitting, zoning enforcement and flood plain <br />regulation. Board of Adjustment and Planning Board functions shall be provided <br />through the Harrisburg Planning & Zoning Commission with staff support and <br />training to be provided by County staff. This scope of services shall not include <br />annexation activity except as it relates to the administrative rezoning of <br />annexed properties. <br /> <br />The Town of Harrisburg shall supply a Clerk for the Harrisburg Planning & Zoning <br />Commission. The Clerk shall be responsible for compiling meeting agendas, mailing <br />of all material to Planning & Zoning Commission members, minutes of all meetings, <br />and record keeping. <br /> <br />Contract Documents: The Contract Documents consist of this signed Contract form <br />and any Exhibits incorporated herein. <br /> <br />Compensation and Method of Payment: For satisfactorily providing all services <br />described and required in the Contract Documents, Cabarrus County shall receive <br />a $10,000 direct payment from the Town of Harrisburg and shall retain one half <br />of all planning and zoning permit and review fees. <br /> <br />In witness whereof the parties have caused this Contract to be duly executed, <br />intending to be bound thereby. <br /> <br />CABARRUS COUNTY <br />Authorized <br />Signature: /s/ Arne L.
