213 <br /> <br /> The Board received the request from the North Carolina Department of <br />Transportation to abandon 0.06 miles of Foil Road (SR 2605) from the State <br />system. Ms. Virginia E. Foil (10000 Foil Road, Mt. Pleasant) signed the <br />Abandonment Petition submitted to the Department of Transportation. <br /> <br /> UPON MOTION of Commissioner Privette, seconded by Vice Chairman Carruth <br />and unanimously carried, the Board adopted the following Resolution. <br /> <br /> Resolution No. 2001-31 <br />NORTH CAROLINA STATE DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION <br /> AND HIGHWAY SAFETY REQUEST FOR ABANDONMENT FROM <br /> STATE MAINTAINED SECONDARY ROAD SYSTEM <br /> <br />North Carolina <br />County of Cabarrus <br />Road Description Portion of Foil Road, SR 2605 <br />Length to be abandoned 0.06 Mile <br /> <br />Length to be Retained (if applicable) 0.74 mile <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the attached petition has been filed with the <br />Board of County Commissioners of the County of Cabarrus <br />requesting that the above described road, the location of which <br />has been indicated in red on the attached map, be abandoned from <br />the Secondary Road System; and <br /> WHEREAS, the .Board of County Commissioners is of the <br />opinion that the above described road should be abandoned from <br />the Secondary Road System, if the road meets minimum standards <br />and criteria established by the Division of Highways of the <br />Department of Transportation and Highway Safety for the <br />abandonment of roads from the System. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, be it resolved by the Board of County <br />Commissioners of the County of Cabarrus that the Division of <br />Highways is hereby requested to review the above-described road, <br />and to cease maintenance of same road if it meets established <br />standards and criteria. <br /> <br />Adoption of the ~A-nalysis of Impediments to Fair Housing" 'Report for the <br />Community Development Block Grant Program <br /> <br /> UPON MOTION of Commissioner Privette, seconded by Vice Chairman Carruth <br />and unanimously carried, the Board adopted the Report, Analysis of <br />Impediments to Fair Housing, as submitted by Ms. Kelly Sifford, Senior <br />Planner, for the Community Development Block Grant Program, Scattered Site <br />Housing Rehabilitation Program. <br /> <br />Adoption of Agreement with the City of Concord for the Execution of a HOME <br />Investment Partnerships Program <br /> <br /> UPON MOTION of Commissioner Privette, seconded by Vice Chairman Carruth <br />and unanimously carried, the Board adopted the "Agreement for the Execution <br />of a HOME Investment Partnerships Program" between the City of Concord, <br />serving as lead entity of the Cabarrus/Iredell/Rowan HOME Consortium, and <br />Cabarrus County; and authorized the County Manager to sign the Agreement on <br />behalf of Cabarrus County.
