406 <br /> <br />and owned by E. G. Denny, at a per unit value of $7,000.00 per acre. The <br />purpose for which the property is to be condemned is to expand and enhance <br />the facilities available for the education of children of Cabarrus County, <br />and for the recreation of the public, specifically for a new school and/or <br />park facility tentatively identified as the Cox Mill Elementary Project. <br /> <br /> UPON MOTION of Chairman Fennel, seconded by Commissioner Privette with <br />Chairman Fennel and Commissioners Privette, Carpenter and Casper voting for <br />and Commissioner Barnhart voting against, the Board authorized the issuance <br />of a ~Notice of Exchange of Real Property" for the exchange of a fee simple <br />interest in approximately 17.30 acres of real property known as the Odell <br />School Tract for approximately 61 acres of real property, rough graded at a <br />value of at least an additional $300,000.00 and located at the intersection <br />of Harris Road and Rocky River, together with additional consideration, <br />including a cash contribution of $350,000.00 to assist in the placement and <br />construction of adequate school facilities in Cabarrus County. <br /> <br />Adjournment <br /> <br /> There being no further business to come before the Board, Chairman <br />Fennel adjourned the meeting at 9:20 p.m. <br /> <br />Clerk to the Board <br /> <br /> <br />
