233 <br /> <br />Solid Waste Manaqement <br /> <br /> Mr. Rick Payne, Solid Waste Manager, presented an overview of the <br />proposed Solid Waste Management budget, including such issues as the use of <br />white goods money and the continued operation of the landfill for demolition <br />materials. He estimated the landfill capacity at 11 years based on 70 tons <br />per day; however, the capacity will depend upon the availability of cover <br />material at the landfill. <br /> <br />Emerqency Medical Services <br /> <br /> Mr. Ron Harwood, Emergency Medical Services (EMS) Director, reviewed <br />the proposed EMS budget. He reported the average response time for the first <br />quarter of 1999 was 4.26 minutes. <br /> <br />Development Services <br /> <br /> Mr. Day presented a brief overview of the Development Services budgets, <br />including Building Inspection/Erosion Control, Zoning and Emergency <br />Management. <br /> <br />Appointments to the Board of Equalization and Review <br /> <br /> Chairman Barnhart reminded the Board that the terms of appointment for <br />all members of the Board of Equalization and Review end on June 30, 1999. He <br />asked each Commissioner to be prepared to name one member to that board at <br />the June 21st meeting. <br /> <br />Recess of Meetinq <br /> <br /> There being no further business to come before the Board, Chairman <br />Barnhart recessed the meeting at 9:30 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. on Monday, June <br />14, 1999. <br /> <br />Clerk to the Board <br /> <br /> <br />
