Barnhart, Chairman <br />Cabarrus County Board of Commissioners <br /> <br />Proclamation - First Citizens Big Sweep Day in Cabarrus County (September 18, <br />1999) <br /> <br /> UPON MOTION of Commissioner Fennel, seconded by Commissioner Carpenter <br />and unanimously carried, the Board adopted the following Proclamation. <br /> <br />PROCLAMATION <br /> <br />WHEREAS, water is a basic and essential need for all life; and <br />WHEREAS, over 300 miles of streams flow in Cabarrus County; and <br />WHEREAS, trash fouls our waterways as well as our landscapes; and <br />WHEREAS, every community has the responsibility to insure that its <br />waterways run clean and pure, and free from all pollutants, including trash; <br />and <br /> WHEREAS, thousands of volunteers collect hundreds of tons of trash <br />annually from North Carolina's waterways on the third Saturday of September <br />in the nation's largest Big Sweep state cleanup effort; <br /> THEREFORE, I, Jeffrey L. Barnhart, by the authority invested in me as <br />Chairman of the Board of County Commissioners in Cabarrus County, North <br />Carolina, do hereby proclaim Saturday, September 18, 1999, at the date for <br /> First Citizens Bank Big Sweep <br />In Cabarrus County and urge every citizen to do his or her part to restore <br />the beauty and function of our lakes and streams. <br /> In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and caused the seal of <br />Cabarrus County to be affixed. <br /> /s/ Jeffrey L. Barnhart <br /> Signature <br /> Auqust 30, 1999 <br /> Date <br /> <br />Resolution Concerninq Adoption of Selected Alternative to the Cabarrus County <br />and Water and Sewer Authorit¥'s 201 Facilities Plan - Adams Creek Interceptor <br /> <br />Project <br /> <br /> UPON MOTION of Commissioner Fennel, seconded by Commissioner Carpenter <br />and unanimously carried, the Board adopted the following Resolution. <br /> <br />Resolution No. 1999-18 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION CONCERNING ADOPTION OF A SELECTED ALTERNATIVE <br />TO THE CABARRUS COUNTY AND WATER AND SEWER AUTHORITY'S <br />201 FACILITIES PLAN <br /> ADAMS CREEK INTERCEPTOR PROJECT <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Am Amendment to the Cabarrus County and the Water and Sewer <br /> Authority of Cabarrus County's (WSACC) 201 Facilities Plan was <br /> prepared and dated March, 1999; and <br />WHEREAS, Cabarrus County has a need for and intends to construct a <br /> wastewater treatment system project, more specifically described <br /> as the Adams Creek Interceptor Project (Project), as identified <br /> in the Amendment to the Cabarrus County and WSACC's 201 <br /> Facilities Plan as a selected alternative. <br />NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED THAT: <br /> The Board of Commissioners of Cabarrus County agrees to implement the <br />selected alternative as proposed in the Amendment to the Cabarrus County and <br />WSACC's 201 Facilities Plan. <br /> Adopted this the 30th day of August, 1999 at 65 Church Street, SE, <br />Concord, North Carolina. <br /> <br />ATTEST: <br />/s/ Frankie F.
