Cook, Jr., Social Services Director, recognized the following <br />employees on their retirement from the Department of Social Services. <br /> <br />Ms. Sandra Hall - April 1979 to May 1998 Supervisor of the Adult <br /> Preventative Services and Adult Protective Services Unit <br />Ms. Anna Harrelson - October 1972 to May 1998 - Program Manager of <br /> the Adult Services Division of the Department of Social <br /> Services <br />Ms. Nadine Holshouser - October 1982 to May 1998 - Data Entry <br /> Operator <br /> <br /> Mr. Terry Rowland recognized Mr. Mark Kitris, Land Records Manager, who will <br />retire on May 30, 1998. Mr. Kitris began work with the County in 1966. <br /> <br /> Mr. Blair Bennett, Deputy County Manager for Administration, recognized Mr. <br />Terry Rowland who will retire as Tax Administrator on May 30, 1998. Mr. Rowland <br />began employment with Cabarrus County on June 14, 1971 as Tax Supervisor. <br /> <br /> Ms. Jean Kennedy, Information Services Programming Director, recognized Mr. <br />Win Springs who will retire as Analyst/Programmer on May 29, 1998. Mr. Springs <br />began his employment with Cabarrus County on May 8, 1989. <br /> <br /> Commissioner Carpenter presented a plaque of appreciation and a County lapel <br />emblem to each of the retirees. <br /> <br />Recognition by the American Economic Development Corporation <br /> <br /> Mr. Clifton announced that the American Economic Development Corporation had <br />granted awards for the Concord-Cabarrus Sourcebook in both the Research and <br />General Information categories. <br /> <br />CONSENT AGENDA <br /> <br />Commissioner Carpenter left the meeting for a short period of time. <br /> <br />Addition of $5.00 Charge for Sale of Mulch to the Solid Waste Management Fee <br />Schedule <br /> <br /> UPON MOTION of Commissioner Barnhart, seconded by Commissioner Mills with <br />Commissioners Barnhart, Mills and Niblock and Chairman Casper voting for, the <br />Board adopted the amended Solid Waste Management Fee Schedule to include the <br />following: <br /> <br />Sale of Mulch: $5.00 per Pickup Truck Load <br /> <br />Planning Services Budget Amendment (Additional Public Transportation Funding) <br /> <br /> UPON MOTION of Commissioner Barnhart, seconded by Commissioner Mills with <br />Commissioners Barnhart, Mills and Niblock and Chairman Casper voting for, the <br />Board adopted the following budget amendment. <br /> <br />BUDGET REVISION/AMENDMENT REQUEST <br /> <br /> <br />
