Replace with: Cabarrus <br /> County will follow Work First eligibility criteria for standard counties. <br />· Pages 25 and 26, section XI.B.: Pay for Performance: delete entire section. <br /> <br />Approval of Submission of Elderly and Disabled Transportation Assistance <br />Program (EDTAP) Grant Application <br /> <br /> UPON MOTION of Commissioner Barnhart, seconded by Commissioner Mills and <br />unanimously carried, the Board approved the following Certified Statement and <br />authorized execution by the Chairman and appropriate County staff. <br /> <br />State of North Carolina, County of Cabarrus County NC <br /> APPENDIX B <br /> Certified Statement <br /> FY 1998-99 <br /> <br />Pursuant to G.S. 136-44.27, the North Carolina Elderly and Disabled <br />Transportation Assistance Program, this is to certify that the undersigned is <br />the duly elected, qualified and acting chairperson of the Board of County <br />Commissioners of the County of Cabarrus, North Carolina, and that the <br />following statements are true and correct: <br /> <br />1. That the funds received pursuant to G.S. 136-44.27 will be used to <br /> provide additional transportation services for the elderly and disabled, <br /> exceeding the quantity of trips provided prior to the receipt of these <br /> funds. <br />2. That the funds received pursuant to G.S. 135-44.27 will not be used to <br /> supplant existing Federal, State or local funds designated to provide <br /> elderly and disabled transportation services in the county. <br />3. That the funds received pursuant to G.S. 1136-44.27 will be used in a <br /> manner consistent with the local Transportation Development Plan and <br /> application approved by the NC Department of Transportation and the <br /> Board of Commissioners. <br />4. That any interest earned on these funds will be expended in accordance <br /> with G.S. 136-44.27. <br />5. Clifton, Jr. <br /> County Manager/Administrator <br /> <br />Approval of Weathertzation Contract between the Department of Aging and the <br />Salisbury Rowan Community Service Council, Inc. <br /> <br /> UPON MOTION of Commissioner Barnhart, seconded by Commissioner Mills and <br />unanimously carried, the Board approved the Weatherization Assistance Program <br />for Low-Income Persons (Annual Contract), Contract Number 98-1441-38(2) <br />between the Salisbury-Rowan Community Service Council, Inc., the Cabarrus <br />County Department of Aging and the Energy Division, North Carolina Department <br />of Commerce. The contract was in the amount of $85,000.00 for Weatherization <br />Assistance, including $49,250.00 for Paid Labor; $3,000.00 for Other Program <br />Support; $29,750.00 for Materials and $3,000.00 for Administration. <br /> <br />Approval of the "Agreement for the Execution of a Home Investment Partnerships <br />Program" for 1998-99 <br /> <br /> UPON MOTION of Commissioner Barnhart, seconded by Commissioner Mills and <br />unanimously carried, the Board approved the Agreement for the Execution of a <br />Home Investment Partnerships Program between the City of Concord (Lead Entity <br />of the Cabarrus/Iredell/Rowan HOME Consortium) and Cabarrus County for Housing <br />Rehabilitation Services and authorized the Chairman to sign the Agreement on <br />behalf of Cabarrus County. <br /> <br />Approval of School-Age Care Grant Proposal for the Cabarrus Cooperative <br />Extension Service (NGSU Subcontract #98-0566-35) <br /> <br /> <br />
