Bonds, Clerk to the Board <br /> <br />Register of Deeds Resolution Requiring All Deeds to be Verified by the <br />Assessor's Land Records Division Prior to Being Recorded <br /> <br /> UPON MOTION of Commissioner Mills, seconded by Commissioner Barnhart and <br />unanimously carried, the Board adopted the following Resolution. <br /> <br />RESOLUTION REQUIRING THE ADDITION <br />OF THE TOWNSHIP, MAP AND PARCEL, <br />OR PARCEL IDENTIFICATION NUMBER <br /> ON ALL DEEDS TO BE RECORDED <br /> <br />RESOLUTION No. i997-i7 <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, employees spend a considerable amount of time <br />researching township, map and parcel, or parcel identification <br />numbers after a deed is recorded in the Register of Deeds Office and <br />must again research the numbers in order to begin the mapping <br />process in the County Assessor's Office; and <br /> WHEREAS, the addition of the township, map and parcel, or <br />parcel identification number, to a deed before recordation will save <br />time, money and frustration for both employees and users of Cabarrus <br />County Land Records. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Cabarrus County Board <br />of Commissioners does hereby require the addition of the township, <br />map and parcel number, or the parcel identification number, to a <br />deed and verified by the Assessor's Land Records Division before it <br />can be recorded with the Cabarrus County Register of Deeds. <br /> BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that this action shall become effective <br />September 1, 1997. <br /> This the 23rd day of June, 1997. <br /> <br /> /s/ Sue B.
