Workforce Development Board <br /> <br /> UPON MOTION of Commissioner Barnhart, seconded by Commissioner Niblock and <br />unanimously carried, the Board reappointed Mr. James Polk (Social Services) and <br />appointed Ms. Judith Misenheimer (Education) to the Centralina Workforce <br />Development Board for a term of two years ending June 30, 1999. <br /> <br />C. Resion F Emersency Medical Services Advisory Council (2) <br /> <br /> Mr. John Day, Deputy County Manager for Operations, recommended that the <br />Board appoint a citizen to fill the position currently held by Mr. Ben Mabrey, <br />Emergency Management Director. He pointed out that the County has one staff <br />representative, EMS Director Ron Harwood, on the advisory council. <br /> <br /> UPON MOTION of Commissioner Niblock, seconded by Commissioner Mills and <br />unanimously carried, the Board reappointed Ms. Mae Block and appointed Mr. Mike <br />Brown to the Region F Emergency Medical Services Advisory Council for terms of <br />two years ending June 30, 1999. <br /> <br />Closed Session to Discuss Matters Relating to the Location or Expansion of <br />Industries or Other Businesses in Cabarrus County as Authorized by NCGS 143- <br /> <br /> UPON MOTION of Commissioner Mills, seconded by Commissioner Niblock and <br />unanimously carried, the Board moved to go into closed session to discuss matters <br />relating to the location or expansion of industries or other businesses in <br />Cabarrus County as authorized by NCGS 143-318.11(a)(4). <br /> <br /> UPON MOTION of Commissioner Niblock, seconded by Commissioner Mills and <br />unanimously carried, the Board voted to adjourn the closed session. <br /> <br />No action was reported from the closed session. <br /> <br />Adjournment <br /> <br /> UPON MOTION of Commissioner Mills, seconded by Commissioner Barnhart and <br />unanimously carried, the Board adjourned the meeting at 6:45 P.M. <br /> <br />Clerk to the Board <br /> <br /> <br />
