5O <br /> <br /> UPON MOTION of Commissioner Mills, seconded by Commissioner Casper and <br />unanimously carried, the Board adopted the following budget amendment. <br /> <br />BUDGET REVISION/AMENDMENT REQUEST <br /> <br />DEPARTMENT OF EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT <br />AMOUNT: $1,347.28 <br />TYPE OF ADJUSTMENT: Supplemental Request <br />PURPOSE OF REQUEST: Appropriate insurance refund for lightning damage to account <br />invoices were paid from. <br /> <br />Line Item Present Approved <br />Account Number Budset <br />01-6-17-10-804 48,749.96 <br />Insurance Reimbursements <br />01-9-27-10-560 700.00 <br />Equipment Maintenance <br /> <br />Increase Decrease <br /> <br />1,347.28 <br />1,347.28 <br /> <br />Revised <br />Budset <br />50,097.24 <br /> <br />2,047.28 <br /> <br />Resolution Requesting the Release of Cabarrus County Share of State Funds to the <br />Centralina Council of Governments <br /> <br /> UPON MOTION of Commissioner Mills, seconded by Commissioner Casper and <br />unanimously carried, the Board adopted the following Resolution. <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION BY <br />CABARRUS COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, in North Carolina the Lead Regional Organizations, as <br />voluntary organizations serving municipal and county governments, <br />have established productive working relationships with the cities <br />and counties across this state; and <br /> WHEREAS, the 1995 General Assembly recognized this need <br />through the appropriation of $864,270 to help the Lead Regional <br />Organizations assist local governments with grant applications, <br />economic development, community development, and to support local <br />industrial development activities and the activities as deemed <br />appropriate by their local governments; and <br /> WHEREAS, these funds are not intended to be used for payment <br />of member dues or assessments to a Lead Regional Organization or to <br />supplant funds appropriated by the member governments; <br /> WHEREAS, in the event that a request is not made by Cabarrus <br />County for release of these funds to our Regional Council, the <br />available funds will revert to the State's general fund; and <br /> WHEREAS, in Region F funds in the amount of $48,015 will be <br />used to/for preparation of HOME and CDBG applications, regional data <br />center, Regional Atlas, regional building permit tracking system, <br />and other economic development activities that may deem appropriate; <br /> NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Cabarrus County Board <br />of Commissioners requests the release of its share of these funds, <br />$4,808.70, to the Centralina Council of Governments at the earliest <br />possible time in accordance with the provisions of Chapter 324, <br />House Bill 229 section 9.4 of the 1995 Session Laws. <br /> Witnessed this the 19th day of March, 1996 in Concord, North <br />Carolina by: <br /> <br />/s/ Jeffrey L.
