93 Request for Matchin8 Assistance from the Mt. Pleasant Recreation Soccer Association Mr. Terry Jones of the Mt. Pleasant Recreation Soccer Association requested funding of $850.78 to complete the lighting of the soccer field at Mt. Pleasant Middle School. Much of the work and materials have been donated for this project. Remaining costs include the payment for the use of a bucket truck and operator by the City of Concord to set the poles at an estimated cost of $140.00 to $280.00 and for 1,500 feet of copper wiring at a cost of $570.00. Chairman Barnhart requested the County Manager to contact the City of Concord regarding the possibility of the City providing the truck and operator at no charge. UPON MOTION of Chairman Barnhart, seconded by Commissioner Fennel and unanimously carried, the Board authorized the County Manager to work out the details to assist the Mt. Pleasant Recreation Soccer Association in lighting the soccer field at Mt. Pleasant Middle School at a cost not exceeding $850.78. Community Based Alternatives Task Force Program Recommendations A_~. Uwharrie Group Home B. Home-Based Services C. Temporary Shelter Care D~ Psycholosical Services to Juvenile Court Mr. John Day briefly reviewed the program recommendations from the Community Based Alternatives Task Force. Total program cost is $397,445.00. State grant funding provides $210,726.00, and provider agencies contribute $59,544.00. The County's share is $127,174.00. UPON MOTION of Commissioner Casper, seconded by Commissioner Fennel and unanimously carried,~the Board approved the Community Based Alternatives program agreements as recommended by the Community Based Alternatives Task Force and authorized the Chairman to sign the appropriate contracts on behalf of the County. After said proceedings had been considered and reviewed by the Board of Commissioners, Chairman Barnhart introduced the following resolution which was read: RESOLUTION DECLARING THE RESULT OF THE SPECIAL BOND REFERENDUM HELD IN THE COUNTY OF CABARRUS, NORTH CAROLINA, ON MAY 7, 1996 UPON THE QUESTION OF APPROVING $49,000,000 SCHOOL BONDS BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of Commissioners for the County of Cabarrus: Section 1. The Board of Commissioners for the County of Cabarrus having received from the Cabarrus County Board of Elections a certified copy of the proceedings of said Board of Elections taken on May 9, 1996, evidencing said Board's determination of the result of the canvass of the returns of the special bond referendum held in the County of Cabarrus on May 7, 1996 upon the question of approving $49,000,000 School Bonds of said County, does hereby declare and certify the result of said referendum to be the result which is set forth in the following statement of the result of said referendum, which statement has been prepared by said Board of Commissioners:
