Pilkington, Health Director, discussed the Maternal Outreach <br />Workers' Grant awarded to Department's Maternal Health Program. The grant will <br />fund two Maternal Outreach Workers who will provide services to a select <br />population of pregnant women before their 28th week of pregnancy and continue to <br />support the woman and her family until the infant is one year old. <br /> <br /> UPON MOTION of Commissioner Fennel, seconded by Commissioner Casper and <br />unanimously carried, the Board adopted the following budget amendment. <br /> <br />BUDGET REVISION/AMENDMENT REQUEST <br /> <br />DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC HEALTH <br />AMOUNT: $25,866.00 <br />TYPE OF ADJUSTMENT: Supplemental Request <br />PURPOSE OF REQUEST: Receipt of Maternal Outreach Project Grant Funds from DEHNR. <br /> To fund two maternal health outreach workers for maternal care <br /> coordination program for first six months of grant. She recognized the following Nursing Home <br />Community Advisory Committee members who were present for the meeting: Ms. Patti <br />Propst, Ms. Dolores Parmer, Ms. Marie Pless and Ms. Mae Block. <br /> <br /> The Board and Ms. Hennis discussed the vacancies which exist on both <br />committees and the difficulty in filling these positions. Chairman Barnhart <br />asked Commissioners Niblock and Casper to work with Ms. Hennis and committee <br />members in making recommendations to fill these vacancies. He also expressed the <br />Board's appreciation to the current committee members for their work. <br /> <br /> <br />
