New audit proposals <br />will be requested for 1996. <br /> <br />Centralina Job Training'Consortium -.Mr, David Hollars <br /> <br /> Mr. David Hollars, Job Training Administrator with the Centralina Council <br />of Governments, presented the Articles of Association and Agreement for the <br />Centralin~ Job Training Consortium for approval by the Board. He reported that <br />the program had been very successful in providing training and employment for <br />economically disadvantaged and dislocated individuals in the county. <br /> <br /> UPON MOTION of Commissioner Niblock, seconded by Commissioner Fennel with <br />Commissioners Niblock, Fennel and Olio-Mills and Chairman Barnhart voting for, <br />the Board approved the Articles of Association and Agreement for the Centralina <br />Job Training Consortium and adopted the following Resolution. <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION APPROVING THE ARTICLES <br /> OF ASSOCIATION AND <br />AGREEMENT FOR THE CENTRALINA JOB TRAINING CONSORTIUM <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the counties of Cabarrus, Iredell, Lincoln, Rowan, <br />Stanly, and. Union as independent and contiguous units of general <br />purpose local government do hereby agree to continue as the <br />Gentralina Job Training Consortium to act jointly as a Service <br />Delivery Area (SDA) under the Job Training Partnership Act (JTPA) of <br />1982, as amend6d.. <br /> WHEREAS, certain technical revisions to the original "Articles <br />of Association" and subsequent amendments have been made for Program <br />Years 94 and 95 and have been executed by the Chairman of this Board <br />on behalf of this county, subject to ratification of such action by <br />this Board; now, therefore it is <br /> RESOLVED, that the execution of the aforesaid "Articles of <br />Association and Agreement for The Centraltna Job Training <br />Consortium" by our Chairman is ratified and adopted by this Board. <br /> <br />APPointments -Board of Health (3) <br /> <br /> Commissioner Fennel made the following nominations for appointment to the <br />Board of Health: Reappoint Ms. Elaine K. Porter (Pharmacist); Appoint Dr. <br />Jonathan T. Zsambeky (Dentist); and Appoint Mr. Ronald L. McDonald (Public <br />Citizen). <br /> <br /> UPON MOTION of Chairman Barnhart, seconded by Commissioner Fennel with <br />Chairman Barnhart and Commissioners Fennel, Niblock and Olio-Mills voting for, <br />the Board moved that nominations be closed and the following persons appointed <br />by acclamation to the Board of Health for terms of three years ending February <br />28, 1998: Ms. Elaine K. Porter (Pharmacist); Dr. Jonathan T. Zsambeky (Dentist); <br />and Mr. Ronald L. McDonald (Public Citizen). <br /> <br />Appointments Firemen's Relief Fund Trustees (14) <br /> <br />Chairman Barnhart nominated the following persons for appointment as <br />Firemen's Relief Fund Trustees as recommended by their respective fire <br />departments: Allen - Aubrey Boger; Cold Water - Ned Blackwelder; Flowes Store - <br />Jim Aldrid§e; Georgeville - Carl Junker; Harrisburg - RickyFisher; Jackson Park <br />Ben Mabrey, Sr.; Midland - Freddie J. Kiker; Mt. Mitchell - Lee P. Cline; Mt. <br />Pleasant - Frankte Barringer; Northeast Eddie Moose; Odell Jack W.
