404 <br /> <br /> Mr. Gerald Newton reported that the septic tank system was not approved for <br />Mr. Spencer's property. Therefore, he stated the County's sale of the .24 of an <br />acre to Mr. Spencer would not make the property a butldable lot. Mr. Newton also <br />reviewed the mitigation requirements imposed by the Corps of Engineers for the <br />Reservoir area and advised that a conservation easement o the property should be <br />retained if the property is sold to Mr. Spencer. <br /> <br /> Mr. Spencer acknowledged that the septic tank permit was not approved for <br />the property. However, he stated that he is aware of an experimental septic <br />system that can be installed on the property at an estimated cost of $10,000.00. <br /> <br /> The Board received Mr. Spencer's request but took no action. Chairman <br />Barnhart stated that the Board would discuss the issue with Mr. Newton as well <br />as with the County Attorney and inform Mr. Spencer of a decision at a later date. <br /> <br />REPORTS <br /> <br /> Chairman Barnhart reported that Cleveland County officials had joined with <br />Cabarrus County in requesting changes to the Limited Food Service Establishment <br />rules and regulations. Commissioner Fennel stated that State Health Officials <br />would be vis£ttng Cabarrus County on May 19 to discuss this issue. <br /> <br /> Commissioner Casper encouraged citizens to contact legislators in Raleigh <br />about the proposed local option one cent sales tax to help fund school <br />construction. <br /> <br />Scheduling of Meeting <br /> <br /> The Board agreed to meet at 5:30 P.M. on Monday, May 8, in the Tax <br />Assessor's Conference Room to continue program reviews. <br /> <br />Recess <br /> <br /> There being no further business to come before the Board, Chairman Barnhart <br />recessed the meeting at 7:35 P.M. until 5:30 P.M. on Monday, May 8. <br /> <br />Clerk to the Board <br /> <br /> <br />
