421 <br /> <br />Map No. 9, Priority No. 11 - Subdivision SR 1637, $ 5,000.00 <br /> Wig Street, from SR 1636 to a dead end. <br /> Grade, drain, base, pave and seed. <br /> Length 0.40 mile. <br />NOTE: If right-of-way cannot be obtained for one of the above roads <br />or if additional funds are received, we will apply funds to next <br />priorities. <br /> <br /> Chairman Barnhart and Commissioner Olio-Mills questioned the paving <br />priority of Trinity Church Road. Mr. Hough reviewed the rating system used by the <br />State in establishing road paving priorities. <br /> <br /> UPON MOTION of Commissioner Fennel, seconded by Chairman Barnhart with <br />Commissioners Fennel, Casper and Ntblock and Chairman Barnhart voting for, and <br />Commissioner Olio-Mills voting against, the Board adopted the following <br />resolution. <br /> A RESOLUTION RELATIVE TO THE <br /> 1995-1996 SECONDARY ROAD IMPROVEMENT PROGRAM <br /> FOR CABARRUS COUNTY <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the North Carolina Department of Transportation has <br /> submitted a proposed Secondary Road Improvement Program <br /> in the amount of $818,314.00 for Cabarrus County for the <br /> 1995-1996 Fiscal Year; and <br />WHEREAS, representatives of the Department of Transportation in <br /> accordance with North Carolina General Statute 136-44.8 <br /> met with the Board of County Commissioners at a regular <br /> meeting of the Board on May 15, 1995 at 6:30 P.M. in the <br /> Commissioners' Meeting Room at the Cabarrus County <br /> Governmental Center in Concord, North Carolina, in order <br /> to present to and discuss with the Board and other <br /> citizens present the proposed Secondary Road Improvement <br /> Program; and <br />WHEREAS, North Carolina General Statute 136-44.8 provides that <br /> the Board of County Commissioners, after the <br /> presentation and discussion of the annual Secondary Road <br /> Improvement Program, may concur with the program as <br /> proposed. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of Commissioners <br />of the County of Cabarrus that said Board does concur with the 1995- <br />1996 Secondary Road Improvement Program as presented by the North <br />Carolina Department of Transportation and recommend that the Board <br />of Transportation adopt the proposed program for Cabarrus County. <br /> Adopted this 15th day of May, 1995. <br /> /s/ Jeffrey L, Barnhart <br />ATTEST: Jeffrey L.
