462 <br /> <br />Appointments'- Centralina Council of Governments A, Region F Aging Advisory Committee (3) <br /> B, Centraltna Private Industry Council (2) <br /> C, Region F Emergency Medical Services Advisory Council <br /> <br /> UPON MOTION of Chairman Barnhart, seconded by Commissioner Fennel with <br />Chairman Barnhart and Commissioners Fennel, Niblock and Olio-Mills voting for, <br />the Board reappointed Mr. James Polk, Social Services Representative, and Mr. <br />James Lunsford, Education Representative, to the Centralina Private Industry <br />Council for a term of two years ending June 30, 1997. <br /> <br /> The appointments to the Region F Aging Advisory Committee and the Region <br />F Emergency Medical Services Advisory Council will be considered at the next <br />meeting. <br /> <br />Zoning Text Amendment Public Hearing 7:00 P.M. <br /> <br /> Mr. Gerald Newton, Planning and Development Area Manager, reviewed the <br />proposed Zoning Text Amendment, Petition 95-03(T). <br /> <br /> At 7:05 P.M., Chairman Barnhart stated this was the date and hour scheduled <br />for a public hearing on Petition 95-03(T) and asked if anyone were present who <br />wished to speak either for or against the proposed text amendment. There was no <br />one present to address the Board, and Chairman Barnhart closed the public <br />hearing. <br /> <br /> UPON MOTION of Commissioner Fennel, seconded by Commissioner Olio-Mills <br />with Commissioners Fennel, Olio-Mills, and Niblock and Chairman Barnhart voting <br />for, the Board adopted the following amendment to the Zoning Ordinance. <br /> <br />PETITION 95-03(T) <br /> AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE CABARRUS COUNTY <br /> ZONING ORDINANCE <br /> <br />BE IT ORDAINED that the Cabarrus County Zoning Ordinance is hereby <br />amended as follows: <br /> 1. Amend Chapter 3, Section 3-7b(3) to allow "Agriculture <br /> including livestock" in the Medium Density Residential zoning <br /> district as a use permitted by standards. <br />2. Amend Chapter 3, Section 3-'7a to delete Stables, private as a <br /> line item. <br /> Amend Chapter 3, Section 3~7b(1) & (2) to delete Stables, <br /> private as a line item. <br />3. Amend Chapter 7, Section 7-4(42) delete this section from the <br /> ordinance. <br />4. Amend Chapter 7, Section 7-4(2) to read: <br /> 2. Agriculture including livestock <br /> Zones permitting based on standards: <br /> *Low Density Residential, Medium Density Residential <br /> STANDARDS <br /> a) Minimum Lot Size Low Density Residential three acres <br /> Medium Density Residential five acres <br />b) Any building housing livestock shall be at least 150 feet <br />from both the nearest building with human inhabitants and the <br />nearest property line. <br />Adopted this the 19th day of June, 1995 by the Cabarrus County Board <br />of Commissioners. <br /> /s/ Jeffrey L.
