Domiciliary Home Community Advisory <br />Committee for an initial term of one year ending December 21, 1994. <br /> <br />Appointments - Nursing Home Community Advisory Committee <br /> <br /> Commissioner Carpenter nominated Ms. Judy Osborn for appointment to the <br />Nursing Home Community Advisory Committee to fill the position previously held <br />by Mr. Charles Shoe. <br /> <br /> UPON MOTION of Commissioner Casper, seconded by Chairman Barnhart and <br />unanimously carried, nominations were closed and Ms. Judy Osborn was appointed <br />to the Nursing Home Community Advisory Committee for an initial term of one year <br />ending December 31, 1994. <br /> <br />Appointments Home and Community Care Block Grant Advisory Committee <br /> <br /> Commissioner Casper nominated Mr. Leonard Blackwelder, Mr. H. A. "Cotton" <br />Mauldin and Mr. Thomas Reeves for appointment as consumer representatives to the <br />Home and Community Care Block Grant Advisory Committee. <br /> <br /> UPON MOTION of Chairman Barnhart, seconded by Commissioner Payne and <br />unanimously carried, nominations were closed and Mr. Leonard Blackwelder, Mr. H. <br />A. "Cotton" Mauldin and Mr. Thomas Reeves were appointed by acclamation to the <br />Home and Community Care Block Grant Advisory Committee. <br /> <br />Appointments Parks and Recreation Commission (3) <br /> <br /> Commissioner Fennel made the following nominations for appointment to the <br />Parks and Recreation Commission: Reappointment of Dr. John Benbow as the <br />Township 12 representative; Appointment of Ms. LaRhonda Watkins as the Township <br />11 representative; and the Appointment of Mr. William Jermyn as the Townships 1/2 <br />representative. <br /> <br /> Commissioner Carpenter nominated Ms. Margaret Hagerty for appointment as <br />the Township 12 representative and nominated Mr. Mike Phillips for appointment <br />as the Townships 1/2 representative. <br /> <br /> The Board voted to appoint Ms. Margaret Hagerty (Township 12) and Mr. <br />William Jermyn (Townships 1/2) to the Parks and Recreation Commission for terms <br />of three years ending January 31, 1997 by the following vote. <br /> <br />Voting for Ms. Hagerty - Commissioners Carpenter, Casper and Payne <br />Voting for Dr. Benbow - Commissioner Fennel and Chairman Barnhart <br /> <br />Voting for Mr. Jermyn - Commissioners Fennel and Payne and Chairman <br /> Barnhart <br />Voting for Mr. Phillips - Commissioners Casper and Carpenter <br /> <br /> UPON MOTION of Chairman Barnhart, seconded by Commissioner Fennel and <br />unanimously carried, nominations were closed and Ms. LaRhonda Watkins was <br />appointed by acclamation as the Township 11 representative to the Parks and <br />Recreation Commission for a term of three years ending January 31, 1997. <br /> <br />Appointments - Tourism Authority (4) <br /> <br /> Commissioner Fennel made the following nominations for appointment to the <br />Tourism Authority: <br /> <br /> Reappointment of Mr. Doug Stafford (Seat 2) as recommended by the Goncord- <br /> Cabarrus County Chamber of Commerce <br /> Appointment of Mr. Jeff Austin (Seat 3) as recommended by the Kannapolis <br /> Chamber of Commerce <br /> Appointment of Mr. John Dysart (Seat 1) for the at-large appointment. <br /> Appointment of Ms. Kaye Overcash (Seat 7) to fill the at-large position <br /> previously held by Kathy Tingle who has been hired as Executive <br /> Director of the Authority <br /> <br /> <br />
