46 <br /> <br /> Chairman Barnhart opened the public hearing on Petition 94-02(t) and asked <br />if anyone were present who wished to speak either for or against the proposed <br />amendment. <br /> <br /> Mr. Terry Barbee of 5310 Ruff Road, Concord, spoke in support of the <br />proposed amendment. He stated that the nearly 400 people who attended a recent <br />community meeting endorsed the amendment. <br /> <br /> There was no one else present to address the Board, and Chairman Barnhart <br />closed the public hearing for Petition 94-02(t). <br /> <br /> UPON MOTION of Commissioner Fennel, seconded by Commissioner Carpenter and <br />unanimously carried, the Board adopted the following Zoning Ordinance amendment. <br /> <br />PETITION 94-02(t) <br /> AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE <br /> CABARRUS COUNTY ZONING ORDINANCE <br /> <br />BE IT ORDAINED that the Cabarrus County Zoning Ordinance is hereby <br />amended as follows: <br />1. Part III, Table One, Development Standards by Zoning District, <br />Number 1, Agricultural/Open Zoning District. <br />Traditional Development Standards <br /> Change minimum lot size from Five (5) acres to One (1) acre <br /> Amend Front Setbacks to read as follows: <br /> PRINCIPAL: ACCESSORY: <br /> -Front .... 50' -Front...50' <br />Customized Development Standards <br /> Amend Front Setbacks to read as follows: <br /> PRINCIPAL: ACCESSORY: <br /> -Front...50' -Front...50' <br />2. Petition 94-03(t) - tabled by the Planning and Zoning <br /> Commission. <br /> <br />Petition 94-04(t)., Section 3-8, Table of Permitted Uses, Page <br />47, Line item #52, Signs, Off-Premise. <br /> Purpose of Change: Delete P for permitted in all zones <br />except for General Commercial, Limited Industrial And General <br />Industrial. Commercial off-premise signs are not permitted in <br />the remaining zones. <br /> This was an inadvertent error in the Table of Permitted <br />uses. Billboard were intended to be permitted only 'in the <br />three zones noted. <br /> The Planning and Zoning Commission voted 9-0 to approve <br />this zoning text amendment. <br /> <br /> Chairman Barnhart opened the public hearing for Petition 94-04(t)..
