The Clerk to the Board of Commissioners is hereby directed to <br />mail or deliver a certified copy of this resolution to the Cabarrus County Board <br />of Elections within three days after the adoption hereof. <br /> <br />Section 6. This resolution shall take effect upon its passage. <br /> <br /> Thereupon, upon motion of Commissioner Barnhart seconded by Commissioner <br />Fennel, the foregoing resolution entitled: "RESOLUTION CALLING A SPECIAL BOND <br />REFERENDUM" was passed by the following vote: <br /> <br />Ayes: Commissioners Barnhart, Fennel, Carpenter, and Payne <br />Noes: None <br /> <br />NEW BUSINESS GONSENT <br /> <br />Ratification of Proclamation - Bob Wall Day <br /> <br /> UPON MOTION of Commissioner Payne, seconded by Commissioner Carpenter and <br />unanimously carried, the Board ratified the following Proclamation. <br /> <br /> CABARRUS COUNTY <br />BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS <br />PROCLAMATION <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br /> Robert L. Wall has faithfully served Cabarrus Memorial <br /> Hospital and our community for the past 31 years, <br /> offering his leadership as President and CEO of the <br /> hospital for 26 of those years; and <br /> His foresight and dedication to improving the health <br /> status of our community have led to the establishment of <br /> a first-class health organization offering state-of-the- <br /> art technology and facilities staffed by talented <br /> medical professionals providing high quality care; and <br />WHEREAS, His vision has led to the creation of innovative <br /> programs such as the Duke-Cabarrus Educational <br /> Affiliation, an aggressive physician recruitment <br /> program, quality improvement initiatives and other <br /> services which are preparing Cabarrus Memorial to meet <br /> the future health needs of our region; and <br />WHEREAS, He has also offered his time and talents to many <br /> community organizations, enriching all of us. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Cabarrus County Board <br />of Commissioners proclaim February 28, 1994 as Bob Wall Day in <br />Cabarrus County as a token of our gratitude and appreciation to Mr. <br />Wall for his devoted leadership. <br /> This the 21st day of February, 1994. <br /> <br /> /s/ Jeffrey L, Barnhart <br />Jeffrey L.
