85 <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br /> each year during April, organ transplant recipients, <br /> donor families and organ procurement agencies such as <br /> Lifeshare of The Carolinas dedicate special efforts to <br /> focus attention on this vital need; and <br />WHEREAS, by signing and carrying a Uniform Donor Card and <br /> committing to organ and tissue donation, those who have <br /> compassion and concern for other human beings may create <br /> a miracle for those in need when they themselves depart. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Cabarrus County Board of <br />Commissioners in support of the national observation does hereby <br />proclaim April 17 23, 1994, as <br /> ORGAN AND TISSUE DONATION AWARENESS WEEK <br />in Cabarrus County and urges all eligible citizens to consider the <br />humanitarian aspects of Uniform Donor Cards and to inform themselves <br />of organ and tissue donations through contact with Lifeshare of the <br />Carolinas. <br />This the 18th day of April, 1994. <br /> <br /> /s/ Jeffrey L.
