9O <br /> <br />1994 Tour DuPont - Permission to Travel Through Cabarrus Count~. <br /> <br /> UPON MOTION of Chairman Barnhart, seconded by Commissioner Carpenter with <br />Chairman Barnhart and Commissioners Carpenter, Payne and Casper voting for, the <br />Board granted permission for the Tour DuPont to travel through Cabarrus County <br />on May 14, 1994, subject to Cabarrus County being named as an additional insured <br />upon a $5,000,000 liability insurance policy. <br /> <br />Performance Audit - Chairman Barnhart <br /> <br /> Chairman Barnhart asked that the Board defer the Performance Audit until <br />the next meeting. He stated that individuals have volunteered to come in and <br />work with the County to look at selected areas and give direction on some places <br />to start with performance audit activities. However, there was a death in the <br />company and the representative could not be present for this meeting. <br /> <br />Water and Sewer District Meeting <br /> <br /> Chairman Barnhart recessed the meeting until the conclusion of the meeting <br />of the Water and Sewer District. <br /> <br />Chairman Barnhart reconvened the meeting of the Board of Commissioners. <br /> <br />Appointment to the Piedmont Area Mental Health Authority <br /> <br /> No action was taken relative to the Piedmont Area Mental Health Authority <br />appointment as Commissioner Fennel was absent from the meeting at this time. <br /> <br />INFORMAL PUBLIC COMMENTS <br /> <br /> Chairman Barnhart opened the meeting for Informal Public Comments at 8:38 <br />P.M. There was no one present to address the Board, and Chairman Barnhart closed <br />that portion of the meeting. <br /> <br />Executive Session - Pending Litigation <br /> <br /> UPON MOTION of Chairman Barnhart, seconded by Commissioner Carpenter with <br />Commissioners Carpenter, Casper and Payne and Chairman Barnhart voting for, the <br />Board moved to go into executive session to discuss pending litigation and <br />possible property acquisition. The Board invited Mr. David Terry, Attorney, to <br />join the Board in executive session. <br /> <br />Commissioner Fennel returned to the meeting during the executive session. <br /> <br /> UPON MOTION of Chairman Barnhart, seconded by Commissioner Carpenter and <br />unanimously carried, the executive session was adjourned. <br /> <br />No action was reported from the executive session. <br /> <br />Appointment to the Piedmont Area Mental Health Authority <br /> <br /> Commissioner Fennel, Commissioner member of the Piedmont Area Mental Health <br />Authority, announced his appointment of Ms. Martha Macon to the Authority to <br />complete the unexpired term of Ms. Frances Gallimore. Ms. Macon's term will end <br />on June 30, 1994. <br /> <br />Adjournment <br /> <br /> There being no further business to come before the Board, the meeting was <br />adjourned. <br /> <br />Clerk to the Board <br /> <br /> <br />
