116 <br /> <br />acquiring any necessary land, rights-of-way and equipment therefor, <br />in order to provide additional school facilities in said County to <br />maintain the nine months' school term as required by Section 2 of <br />Article IX of the Constitution, and authorizing the levy of taxes in <br />an amount sufficient to pay the principal of and the interest on <br />said bonds, and 14,703 votes were cast against said order, and a <br />majority of the qualified voters of said County who voted thereon at <br />said referendum having voted against the approval of said order, <br />said order was thereby not approved. <br /> Board of Commissioners <br /> for the County of <br />Cabarrus, North Carolina <br />Section 2. The Clerk to the Board of Commissioners shall file <br />a copy of the foregoing statement of the result of said referendum <br />in her office. <br />Section 3. This resolution shall take effect upon its passage. <br />Upon motion of Commissioner Barnhart, seconded by Commissioner <br />Fennel, the foregoing resolution entitled: "RESOLUTION DECLARING THE <br />RESULT OF THE SPECIAL BOND REFERENDUM HELD IN THE COUNTY OF <br />CABARRUS, NORTH CAROLINA ON MAY 3, 1994 UPON THE QUESTION OF <br />APPROVING $81,000,000 SCHOOL BONDS" was passed by the following <br />vote: <br />Ayes: Commissioners Barnhart, Carpenter, Fennel, Casper, and Payne <br />Noes: None <br /> <br />public Health - Change in Kindergarten Assessment Fees <br /> <br /> Dr. William F. Pilkington, Health Director, reviewed the Health Board's <br />recommendation to increase the charge for Kindergarten Assessments from $20.00 <br />to $50.00 to cover the Department's cost for providing such assessments. <br /> <br /> UPON MOTION of Commissioner Payne, seconded by Commissioner Carpenter and <br />unanimously carried, the Board increased the charge for Kindergarten Assessments <br />by the Health Department from $20°00 to $50.00 effective July 1, 1994.
