120 <br /> <br />Presentation of the Proposed Fiscal Year 1994-95 Cabarrus County Budget <br /> <br /> Mr. Witherspoon presented the proposed County Budget for Fiscal Year 1994- <br />95. The recommended budget included a tax increase of 2.5 cents along with <br />various funding options regarding the schools, law enforcement, and emergency <br />services. These options, if approved, would require an additional increase of <br />3.90 cents. <br /> <br /> Chairman Barnhart recommended that the Board meet in communities throughout <br />the county to present the proposed budget and receive input from the public. The <br />Board scheduled meetings for 6:30 P.M. on May 23 at A. L. Brown High School and <br />on May 26 at the Harrisburg Fire and Rescue Building. Chairman Barnhart will <br />schedule the meetings in the Midland and Mt. Pleasant communities and notify the <br />Board of these dates and locations. <br /> <br /> UPON MOTION of Commissioner Payne, seconded by Commissioner Fennel and <br />unanimously carried, the Board set the public hearing for the proposed Fiscal <br />Year 1995 Cabarrus County Budget at 5:30 P.M. on Monday, June 6, 1994. <br /> <br />Chairman Barnhart adjourned the meeting of the Water and Sewer District. <br /> <br />Recess of Meeting <br /> <br /> There being no further business to come before the Board, Chairman Barnhart <br />recessed the meeting at 10:10 P.M. until 6:30 P.M. on May 23 at the A.
