212 <br /> <br /> The Board of Commissioners for the County of Cabarrus met in regular <br /> session in 'the Commissioners' Meeting Room at the Cabarrus County Governmental <br />Center in Concord, North Carolina on Monday, September 19, 1994, at 6:30 P.M. <br /> <br />Present <br /> <br />Absent <br /> <br />Chairman: Jeffrey L. Barnhart <br />Vice-Chairman: Carolyn B. Carpenter <br />Commissioners: Arne L. Fennel <br /> Kenneth F. Payne <br />Commissioner: Sue B. Casper <br /> <br /> Also present were Mr. Fletcher L. Hartsell, Jr., County Attorney, and Mrs. <br />Frankie F. Bonds, Clerk to the Board. <br /> <br />Chairman Barnhart called the meeting to order at 6:30 P.M. <br /> <br />Commissioner Payne led the Pledge of Allegiance. <br /> <br /> The invocation was given by Reverend Wayne Murdock of the Zion Hill A.M.E. <br />Zion Church. <br /> <br />Approval of Minutes <br /> <br /> UPON MOTION of Commissioner Fennel, seconded by Commissioner Payne and <br />unanimously carried, the minutes of September 6, 1994 were approved as written. <br /> <br />NEW BUSINESS CONSENT <br /> <br />Budget Amendment Emergency Management (Duke Power Grant Funds) <br /> <br /> UPON MOTION of Commissioner Fennel, seconded by Commissioner Payne and <br />unanimously carried, the Board adopted the following budget amendment. <br /> <br />BUDGET REVISION/AMENDMENT REQUEST <br /> <br />DEPARTMENT OF EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT <br />AMOUNT: $1,500 <br />TYPE OF ADJUSTMENT: Supplemental Request <br />PURPOSE OF REQUEST: Additional grant funds received from Duke Power. <br /> <br /> Line Item <br />Account Number <br /> <br />Present Approved <br />Budget <br /> <br />Increase Decrease <br /> <br />Revised <br />Budget <br /> <br />01-6-27-10-807 $ 0.00 <br /> Operations Grant Duke Power <br />01-9-27-10-355 $9,400.00 <br /> Other Operations Cost <br /> <br />$1,500.00 $ 1,500.00 <br />$1,500.00 $10,900.00 <br /> <br />Road Petition Addition to System <br /> <br /> UPON MOTION of Commissioner Fennel, seconded by Commissioner Payne and <br />unanimously carried, the Board approved the addition of Glen Eagles Lane to the <br />State road system. <br /> <br />NEW BUSINESS <br /> <br />Presentation of the 1994 Outstanding County Program Award from the North Carolina <br />Association of County Commissioners for the Cabarrus County EMS 20th Anniversary <br />Celebration, Health and Safety Fair <br /> <br /> The 1994 Outstanding County Program Award from the North Carolina <br />Association of County Commissioners was presented to Emergency Medical Services <br />(EMS) for the Cabarrus County EMS 20th Anniversary Celebration, Health and Safety <br />Fair. This award was received by the County during a recent County <br />Commissioners' Conference in Asheville. The Fair, held on May 6 8, 1993, <br />provided information to county citizens on a variety of safety and health related <br />issues. <br /> <br /> <br />
