275 <br /> <br /> That a special subcommittee of the Fiscal Trends Study Commission be <br />established to study and review the foregoing issues and to report back to the <br />General Assembly no later than March of the 1995 Session of the General Assembly; <br /> That the membership of the Fiscal Trends Study Commission be composed of <br />mayors', town and city council persons, county commissioners, local government <br />finance officers, school board members and superintendents, city managers, county <br />managers, and members of the North Carolina General Assembly; <br /> Further, that the North Carolina Association of Counties, the North <br />Carolina League of Municipalities and the North Carolina School Board Association <br />be authorized to make recommendations for membership on said Fiscal Trends Study <br />Commission. <br /> This the 3rd day of May, 1993. <br /> <br /> /s/ Carolyn B, Carpenter <br />Carolyn B. Bonds, Clerk to the Board <br /> <br />Announcements <br /> <br /> Chairman Carpenter announced that Cabarrus County had been selected to <br />participate in the Pets for People Program sponsored by the Ralston-Purina <br />Company. This program will pay the adoption fees and the spay/neuter charges for <br />animals adopted by senior citizens. <br /> <br />INFORMAL PUBLIC COMMENTS <br /> <br /> Mr. Kenneth Ollo of "Tax Watch" stated that he wished to address the Board <br />regarding travel expenses for County employees. At the request of Chairman <br />Carpenter, he agreed to meet with Mr. Witherspoon to discuss his concerns <br />regarding the travel expenses. Any concerns not resolved by Mr. Witherspoon will <br />then be brought to the Board. <br /> <br />Adjournment <br /> <br /> There being no further business to come before the Board, the meeting was <br />adjourned at 11:30 A.M. <br /> <br />Clerk to the Board <br /> <br /> <br />
