There was lengthy discussion regarding County funding <br />for this program. Commissioner Casper reported that the program is funded <br />entirely by grant funds and suggested that Board members meet with Ms. Eleanor <br />Koski, Aging Director, and Mr. Louis Partain, Weatherization Coordinator, to <br />discuss the program. Mr. John Day, Budget Officer, stated the grant provides <br />approximately $40,000.00 annually for labor and the County spends approximately <br />$80,000.00 annually for benefits and salaries for the Weatherization Program <br />employees. <br /> <br /> UPON MOTION of Commissioner Casper, seconded by Chairman Carpenter and <br />unanimously carried, the Board ratified the "Weatherization Assistance Program <br />for Low-Income Persons (Annual Contract), Contract Number 93-1441-50", and <br />related Certifications. The contract, which is between the Cabarrus County <br />Department of Aging and the Energy Division of the North Carolina Department of <br />Commerce, is for the 1993-94 fiscal year for funding not to exceed the following: <br /> <br /> <br />
