351 <br /> <br /> There was brief discussion regarding the selection of bond counsel. Mr. <br />Hartsell pointed out that there had been no problems with current bond counsel. <br />He also agreed to contact bond counsel regarding the time schedule for a bond <br />referendum. <br /> <br /> UPON MOTION of Commissioner Payne, seconded by Chairman Carpenter with <br />Commissioners Payne, Barnhart and Casper and Chairman Carpenter voting for, the <br />Board deferred the decision on the school bond referendum until the meeting on <br />July 22nd or August 2nd with Mr. Hartsell to determine the appropriate date to <br />place the item on the agenda. <br /> <br />INFORMAL PUBLIC COMMENTS <br /> <br /> Chairman Carpenter opened the meeting for Informal Public Comments and <br />asked if anyone were present who wished to address the Board. There was no one <br />present to speak at this time and Chairman Carpenter closed that portion of the <br />meeting. <br /> <br />REPORTS <br /> <br />Report of Fire Department Inspections <br /> <br /> Pursuant to the Cabarrus County Fire Protection Resolution, the Board <br />received a report from Gregory K. Walters, County Fire Marshal, relative to <br />annual inspections of each fire department. Mr. Walters stated in his report <br />that these inspections had been conducted and that each department either meets <br />or exceeds the minimum standards as set forth in the Fire Protection Resolution. <br /> <br />Adjournment <br /> <br /> There being no further business to come before the Board, the meeting was <br />adjourned at 10:45 A.M. <br /> <br />Clerk to the Board <br /> <br /> <br />
