He pointed out <br />that the main objective of the Soil and Water Conservation District is to protect <br />the County's water resources. <br /> <br /> Mr. Frank Herrin, Chairman of the Soil and Water Conservation District <br />Supervisors, presented a distinguished service award to Commissioner Casper for <br />her work with the Soil and Water Conservation District. <br /> <br />USS Charlotte Commissioning Committee Request Relative to Proposed Airshow <br /> <br /> Mr. Witherspoon reported that the USS Charlotte Commissioning Committee is <br />planning an airshow at the Charlotte Motor Speedway in 1994 to raise funds for <br />such items as recreation equipment for the crew of the recently commissioned <br />submarine, USS Charlotte. The United States Navy Blue Angels flight <br />demonstration team will perform during the event and, for reasons of safety, the <br />Committee has asked a number of residents in the vicinity of the Speedway to <br /> <br /> <br />
