Citing concerns regarding <br />the danger of fire and the improper disposal of oil, he recommended that the <br />Board prohibit the use of deep fat frying or grease pots at the Park. <br /> <br /> UPON MOTION of Commissioner Fennel, seconded by Commissioner Payne, with <br />Commissioners Fennel, Payne, and Casper and Chairman Carpenter voting for, the <br />Board approved on first reading the following amendment to "An Ordinance <br />Regulating the Use of Frank Liske Park". <br /> <br />Amend Subsection 3 of SECTION 7: Camping, Fires, Picnic Areas to read as <br />follows: <br /> <br />SECTION 7: Camping, Fires, Picnic Areas <br /> <br />It shall be unlawful to: <br /> <br />3. Bring deep fat frying or grease pots into the Park. <br /> <br />Addition to Agenda <br /> <br /> UPON MOTION of Commissioner Fennel, seconded by Chairman Carpenter with <br />Commissioners Fennel, Casper and Payne and Chairman Carpenter voting for, the <br />Board agreed to add to the agenda the discussion of the proposed metric <br />conversion of traffic control signs. <br /> <br />Appointment of Additional Member to Transportation Advisory Board <br /> <br /> The Board received the recommendation from the Transportation Advisory <br />Board for the appointment of Ms. Lu Ann Barnhardt to that advisory board as a <br />representative of the visually impaired population. <br /> <br /> Commissioner Payne made motion, seconded by Commissioner Fennel, to appoint <br />Ms. Lu Ann Barnhardt to the Transportation Advisory Board. <br /> <br /> There were no other nominations and Chairman Carpenter moved that <br />nominations be closed. Motion was seconded by Commissioner Casper. <br /> <br /> Chairman Carpenter and Commissioners Payne, Casper and Fennel voted to <br />appoint Ms. Lu Ann Barnhardt to the Transportation Advisory Board for a three- <br />year term ending June 30, 1996. <br /> <br /> Chairman Carpenter proposed that the Board consider the appointment of a <br />nursing home representative to the Transportation Advisory Board. The Board by <br />consensus agreed to the proposal, and Chairman Carpenter asked Commissioner <br />Casper to make a recommendation to the Board for this appointment. <br /> <br /> <br />
