<br />line S. 52-23-27 W., 1680.30 feet (passing existing iron pipes on
<br />line at 685.82 feet, 996.19 feet, and 1640.80 feet to a set iron
<br />pipe in or near the center of Coddle Creek; thence with the center
<br />line of Coddle Creek in the lines of Canupp, Nathan Sherrill,
<br />Robbins, McManus, Mahon, Norris T. Sherrill, and Dana N. Sherrill,

<br />feet (passing a set iron pipe on line at 30.05 feet, the southern
<br />edge of the right-of-way of Highway 73) to a set iron pipe; (5) S.
<br />87-36-33 E., 719.81 feet to an existing iron pipe, a corner of Smith
<br />and Alonzo J. Waters; thence with the line of Alonzo J. Waters, S.
<br />74-48-44 E., 188.85 feet to an existing iron pipe, a corner of
<br />Waters and Smith; thence with Smith's line, S. 87-36-33 E., 489.89
<br />feet to the BEGINNING, containing 33.63 acres, more or less, as
<br />surveyed and platted by Concord Engineering & Surveying, Inc. (James

<br /> UPON MOTION of Chairman Barnhart, seconded by Commissioner Fennel and
<br />unanimously carried, the Board authorized the execution of any ancillary
<br />agreements necessary to finalize the Lois Smith matter.

<br />Department of Social Services Simplification Suggestions - Commissioner Carpenter
<br />
<br /> Commissioner Carpenter commended the Social Services employees for the
<br />implementation of the automation/simplification program at the Department of
<br />Social Services. Employees have projected savings in excess of $1 million over
<br />
