Each lot shall have <br />a separate address number assigned. The address <br />number of each lot must be clearly displayed on <br />the lot so as to be legible from the road, or it <br />may be mounted on the mobile home unit provided <br />that it is removed if the home is transported to <br />a new location. <br />Numerals must be of contrasting color to the <br />background. <br /> <br />The Cabarrus County Planning, Zoning and Building <br />Inspection Department will have the right to authorize <br />and approve alternate methods of displaying house <br />numbers which meet the intent of this Ordinance when <br />strict adherence to these standards cannot be reasonably <br />met. <br /> <br />Section 6. Enforcement <br /> <br />A) <br /> <br />B) <br /> <br />¢) <br /> <br />No building permit shall be issued until an official <br />house number has been assigned for a lot. <br />No Certificate of Occupancy shall be issued by the <br />Cabarrus County Zoning Administrator until such road <br />address numbers are properly displayed. <br />Owners or occupants of buildings already constructed <br />which do not comply with this Ordinance will be notified <br />and requested to meet these requirements within sixty <br />(60) days from the date of the notification. A warning <br />notice will be issued after sixty (60) days if the <br />requirements have not been met. If the owner or <br />occupant does not comply voluntarily with this Ordinance <br />within thirty (30) days of delivery of a warning notice <br />by registered or certified mail or by hand delivery to <br />the building in violation, enforcement action pursuant <br />to G.S. 153A-123 may be initiated. <br /> <br />Section 7. Bonds, Clerk to the Board <br /> <br /> Commissioner Simmons announced that a subcommittee of the Planning and <br />Zoning Commission would be meeting at the Governmental Center on February 6 at <br />3:30 P.M. to receive input relative to the revision and update of the Cabarrus <br />County Zoning Ordinance. <br /> Mr. David Hollars, Job Training Administrator with the Centralina Council <br />of Governments, presented for the Board's consideration the Articles of <br />Association and Agreement for the Centralina Job Training Consortium which <br />includes the counties of Cabarrus, Iredell, Lincoln, Rowan, Stanly and Union. <br /> UPON MOTION of Commissioner Simmons, seconded by Commissioner Hamby and <br />unanimously carried, the Board authorized Chairman Carpenter to execute the <br />Articles of Association and Agreement for the Centralina Job Training Consortium <br />on behalf of Cabarrus County.
