480 <br /> <br /> Ms. Corine Cannon of Charlie Walker Road in Kannapolis asked that the <br />County apply for additional block grants to complete the housing <br />rehabilitation/sewer project started in the FishertownCommunity with Community <br />Development funds several years ago. <br /> Chairman Carpenter asked Commissioner Payne to look into Ms. Cannon's <br />request. <br /> There being no one else present to address the Board, Chairman Carpenter <br />closed the Informal Public Comments at 9:22 P.M. <br /> <br />OTHER BUSINESS <br /> <br /> At the request of Mr. Witherspoon, the Board agreed for County employees <br />to become involved in the WalkAmerica sponsored by the March of Dimes. County <br />T-shirts will be available for those employees raising over $25.00 for this <br />project. Commissioner Payne challenged other Board members to participate in <br />WallU%merica. <br /> There being no further business to come before the Board, Chairman <br />Carpenter recessed the meeting at 9:20 P.M. until March 13, 1992, at 5:30 P.M. <br />at the Oaks Restaurant.
