540 <br /> <br />the Cabarrus County Health Department as recommended by the Board of Health with <br />the deletion of the provision to discontinue all free services to adults over <br />age 65 and with a decrease in the charge for blood pressure checks in the <br />General Clinic from $3.00 to $1.00. The changes as approved by the Board and <br />effective July 1, 1992 were as follows: <br /> <br />Ao <br /> <br />Bo <br /> <br />Change the following: <br />1. Institute a sliding fee scale in Adult Wellness Clinic with <br /> $20 as full charge using the Family Planning Fee Scale. <br />2. Decrease charge for blood pressure checks in General Clinic <br /> from $3.00 to $1.00. <br />3. Provide pregnancy tests to teens at no charge to encourage <br /> early acknowledgement of pregnancy. <br />4. Charge Cabarrus County Jail for tests done on inmates. <br />5. Institute an Indigency Declaration form that clients would <br /> sign if they could not pay the fee and felt they qualified. <br /> They would not be refused service. <br />Charge for the following services that are now provided at no charge. <br /> <br />o <br /> <br />Laboratory <br />a. Pilkington, Health Director, reported that the Board of <br />Health would be considering a revised Animal Control Ordinance at its meeting <br />on May 28. He asked that consideration of the Animal Shelter fees be tabled <br />until after that meeting. <br /> <br /> <br />
