Also, a <br />separate water line would be run along Whitley Road to <br />accommodate the rebuilding of Whitley Manufacturing Company <br />which was recently destroyed by fire. Estimated total project <br />cost is $639,000.00 with a pending application for Community <br />Development Block Grant (CDBG) funds in the amount of <br />$400,000.00 for the Whitley water line extension. Recommend <br />financing the project with CDBG Funds in the amount of <br />$400,000.00 and funds in the amount of $239,000.00 from the <br />Water and Sewer District Fund Balance. <br /> <br />2) <br /> <br />Cabarrus County Movie Studio - Extend water and sewer lines to <br />the base of the movie studio property. Water line will extend <br />along Highway 200 and Vanderburg Drive and will be the first <br />step towards making water service a future possibility for the <br />Georgeville Community. Recommend financing the total <br />estimated cost of $460,000.00 with funding from the $1 million <br />in the earmarked capital projects fund in the County's general <br />fund budget. <br /> <br />3) <br /> <br />Muddy Creek Wastewater Treatment Plant - Provide funds for the <br />permitting and design processes needed to build a wastewater <br />treatment plant. Total cost for design and construction of <br />the sewer plant is estimated at $2,400,000.00. Recommend <br />finanCing the design and permitting stages at this time with <br />$200,000.00 allocated from the $1 million set aside in the <br />general fund for capital projects. <br /> <br /> UPON MOTION of Commissioner Simmons, seconded by Commissioner Barnhart with <br />Commissioners Simmons, Barnhart and Hamby and Chairman Carpenter voting for, the <br />Board approved the following budget amendments. <br /> <br /> <br />
