130 Improvement of planning and zoning resulting in the reorganization of the Planning and Zoning Commission by districts to represent the entire county; completion of Small Area Plans for Midland, Eastern Cabarrus, Harrisburg, Cold Springs, and Northwest Cabarrus; updating of the A-I zoning district; the revision of the Subdivision Ordinance; the addition of Harrisburg and Mt. Pleasant Planning; and the institution of special use zoning districts in the county. Site selection and construction of a modern Senior Center facility through a matching funds program with the senior citizens of Cabarrus County. Development and presentation of the first Five-Year Strategic Business Plan for Cabarrus County. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Cabarrus County Board of Commissioners: (1) That the Board of Commissioners expresses to Mr. Simmons its gratitude for his leadership and dedicated service to the citizens of Cabarrus County for the period 1988-1992. (2) That this resolution become a permanent part of the minutes of the Board of Commissioners of Cabarrus County and a certified copy be presented to Mr. Simmons.
