130 <br /> <br />Improvement of planning and zoning resulting in the <br />reorganization of the Planning and Zoning Commission by <br />districts to represent the entire county; completion of Small <br />Area Plans for Midland, Eastern Cabarrus, Harrisburg, Cold <br />Springs, and Northwest Cabarrus; updating of the A-I zoning <br />district; the revision of the Subdivision Ordinance; the <br />addition of Harrisburg and Mt. Pleasant Planning; and the <br />institution of special use zoning districts in the county. <br />Site selection and construction of a modern Senior Center <br />facility through a matching funds program with the senior <br />citizens of Cabarrus County. <br />Development and presentation of the first Five-Year Strategic <br />Business Plan for Cabarrus County. <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Cabarrus County Board of <br />Commissioners: <br /> (1) That the Board of Commissioners expresses to Mr. Simmons its <br />gratitude for his leadership and dedicated service to the citizens of Cabarrus <br />County for the period 1988-1992. <br /> (2) That this resolution become a permanent part of the minutes of the <br />Board of Commissioners of Cabarrus County and a certified copy be presented to <br />Mr. Simmons. <br /> This the 7th day of December, 1992. <br /> /s/ Carolyn B. Casper, do solemnly and sincerely swear that I will <br />support the Constitution of the United States; that I will be <br />faithful and bear true allegiance to the State of North Carolina, <br />and to the constitutional powers and authorities which are or may be <br />established for the government thereof; and that I will endeavor to <br />support, maintain, and defend the Constitution of said State, not <br />inconsistent with the Constitution of the United States, to the best <br />of my knowledge and ability; so help me God. <br /> <br /> I, Sue B.
