These amendments would eliminate the two consecutive term limitation
for members of the Commission and permit Rowan County to reappoint one of its
current members. However, it was noted that the proposed amendments would not
affect Cabarrus County's current policy regarding appointments.

UPON MOTION of Commissioner Barnhart, seconded by Commissioner Fennel and
unanimously carried, the Board amended the By-Laws of the Cabarrus-Rowan Park
Commission to eliminate Article V, Section 5 regarding the two consecutive term
limitation. The Board further agreed to eliminate the two consecutive term
limitation from Section 2(A)(i) of the 1981 Agreement establishing the Cabarrus-
Rowan Park Commission.

NEW BUSINESS CONSENT

Road Petitions Additions to State System

UPON MOTION of Commissioner Payne, seconded by Commissioner Barnhart and
unanimously carried, the Board approved the addition of the following roads to
the State system: DC Drive, Vernette Court, Blanchette Court, Cy Circle, Ross Lee
Drive, Historic Springs Drive, Westview Road, Ridge Road, Knights Court,
Cumberland Drive, Quail Drive, Old Harmony Drive, Potomac Drive, Bennington
Drive, and Chatam Drive.
