UPON MOTION of Commissioner Hamby, seconded by Commissioner Barnhart and
<br />unanimously carried, the Board approved the Lease Agreement between Cabarrus
<br />County and the State of North Carolina Department of Environment, Health and
<br />Natural Resources, for 339 square feet of office and storage space for the
<br />Forester in the General Services Building located at 2326 Davidson Highway,
<br />Concord. Also, the Board authorized the Chairman to execute the Lease Agreement
<br />on behalf of Cabarrus County. The rental for the space as provided in the Lease
<br />Agreement is as follows:

<br />December 1, 1990 thru June 30, 1991 - $248.32 per month
<br />July 1, 1991 thru June 30, 1992 - $260.73 per month
<br />July 1, 1992 thru June 30, 1993 - $273.77 per month

<br />
<br /> UPON MOTION of Chairman Simmons, seconded by Commissioner Carpenter and
<br />unanimously carried, the Board adopted a resolution assigning and directing Ms.
<br />Derelle Kiser as Tax Collector to use all legal means to collect all current and
<br />delinquent tax as provided for in General Statutes 105-366, 367, and 368. This
<br />includes attachment and levy, garnishment of wages, bank accounts, in rem
<br />foreclosure and mortgage type foreclosure on real estate.
<br /> The Board received the written request from Mr. John B. Sims, Chief of the
<br />Enochville Fire & Rescue, to purchase a 1986 GMC ambulance from Cabarrus County
<br />at a cost of $2,500.00. This ambulance will be available in 1991 at such time
<br />Cabarrus Emergency Medical Services receives its new unit.
<br /> UPON MOTION of Commissioner Hamby, seconded by Commissioner Payne and
<br />unanimously carried, the Board approved the sale of the 1986 GMC ambulance for
<br />a purchase price of $2,500.00 to the Enochville Fire & Rescue at such time the
<br />new ambulance has been received by the Cabarrus Emergency Medical Services and
<br />subject to the publication of a ten-day notice prior to consummation of the
<br />sale.
