92 <br /> <br />(1) <br /> <br />Petition 91-Ol-(t). Planning and Zoning Department. Section <br />8.1 and 8.4-2. This amendment allows appointment of <br />alternative members to the Cabarrus County Planning and Zoning <br />Commission. <br />The Planning and Zoning Commission voted 8-0 to approve <br />this petition. <br /> <br /> There was no one present to speak either for or against the proposed <br />amendment, and Chairman Simmons closed the public hearing for Petition 91- <br />01(t). <br /> UPON MOTION of Commissioner Carpenter, seconded by Commissioner Payne and <br />unanimously carried, the Board approved Petition 91-01(t) to amend Section 8.1 <br />and Section 8.4-2 as follows. <br /> <br />Section 8.1. <br />Add the following paragraph to the Zoning Ordinance: <br /> <br />The Board of Commissioners shall also appoint three (3) alternate <br />members to serve on the Cabarrus County Planning and Zoning <br />Commission in the absence, for any cause, of any regular member if <br />a board of adjustment duty is to be exercised at the upcoming <br />regular or special meeting. Such alternate members shall be <br />appointed for ~ year terms and shall have and exercise all the <br />powers and duties of a regular member when serving in his or her <br />absence. Initial terms shall be staggered. <br /> <br />Section 8.4-2. <br />Delete the phrase "present for the hearing" from the Zoning <br />Ordinance. <br /> <br />(1) Petition 91-01. Robert Faggart, Jr., off Fairbluff Road, <br />Map/PIN 5548-34-9448. Wishes to rezone from ARR to R-7.2. <br />The Planning and Zoning Commission voted 7-1 to approve this <br />petition. <br /> <br /> There was no one present to speak either for or against the petition, and <br />Chairman Simmons closed the public hearing for Petition 91-01. <br /> UPON MOTION of Commissioner Payne, seconded by Commissioner Hamby and <br />unanimously carried, the Board approved Petition 91-01 by Robert Faggart, Jr. <br />off Fairbluff Road, Map/PIN 5548-34-9448, from ARR to R-7.2. <br /> <br />(2) <br /> <br />Petition 91-02. Robert & Avie McCoy, off Garmon Mill Road, <br />Map/PIN 5554-10-9718. Wishes to rezone from C-1 to I-1. <br /> <br />The Planning and Zoning Commission voted 7-1 to approve <br />this petition. <br /> <br /> There was no one present to speak for or against the proposed amendment, <br />and Chairman Simmons closed the public hearing on Petition 91-02. <br /> UPON MOTION of Vice-Chairman Barnhart, seconded by Commissioner Hamby and <br />unanimously carried, the Board approved Petition 91-02 by Robert and Avie McCoy <br />to rezone property off Garmon Mill Road, Map/PIN 5554-10-9718, from C-1 to I- <br />l. <br /> <br />(3) <br /> <br />Petition 91-03. Melvin and Ruby Bailey, off Berwick Court, <br />Map/PIN 5600-68-5831 and 5968. Wishes to rezone from R-40 to <br />ARR. <br />The Planning and Zoning Commission voted 7-1 to approve this <br />petition. <br /> <br /> There was no one present to speak either for or against the proposed <br />amendment, and Chairman Simmons closed the public hearing for Petition 91-03. <br /> UPON MOTION of Commissioner Carpenter, seconded by Vice-Chairman Barnhart <br />and unanimously carried, the Board approved Petition 91-03 by Melvin and Ruby <br />Bailey to rezone property off Berwick Court, Map/PIN 5600-68-5831 and 5968 from <br />R-40 to ARR. <br /> <br /> <br />
