GENERAL RULES

M. REFUSAL TO ACCEPT SERVICE
Should any person pay for a connection to the system and after
that connection is installed not use the service or at least pay
the monthly minimum fee as established in the rate schedule, then
the service will be made unusable at the time a customer's bill is
greater than or equal to his or her security deposit. The deposit
will then be applied to the account's balance. If in the future
the person desires service, a minimum monthly billing, not to exceed
a 24-month period, will be assessed. If in this 24-month period
service is desired, the outstanding balance, security deposit, set
up fee, and a $50.00 abandonment charge must be paid in order to
reestablish service. If the 24-month period is exceeded, the
connection fees and security deposits in effect at that time would
be required for the service to be reactivated.

UPON MOTION of Commissioner Payne, seconded by Commissioner Hamby and
unanimously carried, the Board adopted the following amendment to the Cabarrus
County Water System Regulations to be effective July 1, 1991.

SECTION III EXTENSION POLICIES

E. Should the 15th fall upon a
weekend or holiday, cut-off of service shall take place on the
following business day. Reconnection charges for services
discontinued for non-payment will be $25.00 during regular working
hours, Monday Friday, 8:00 A.M. to 5:00 P.M., and $50.00 after
regular working hours, week-ends and holidays.
