175 <br /> <br /> 2. "Foot Path or Trail": Any path or trail maintained for <br />pedestrians. <br /> 3. "Park": The term Park or Parks shall be deemed to include all <br />aspects of Frank Liske Park. <br /> 4. "Pedestrian": A person afoot. <br /> 5. "Permit": Any written license issued by or under authority of <br />the department, permitting the performance of a specified act or acts. <br /> 6. "Person": Any natural person, corporation, company, <br />association, joint stock association, firm or co-partnership. <br /> 7. "Regulation": Any regulation duly adopted by the Cabarrus <br />County Board of Commissioners and posted as a Cabarrus County Parks and <br />Recreation Department regulation. <br /> 8. "Vehicle": Any conveyance (except baby carriages) including <br />motor vehicles, trailers of all types, campers, sleds, sleighs, pushcarts, <br />or vehicles propelled by other than muscular power. Also any horse or <br />horse-drawn conveyance, but excluding nonmotorized bicycles or tricycles. <br /> <br />Section 3. Park Preservation. <br /> It shall be unlawful for any person to: <br /> 1. Mark, deface, disfigure, injure, tamper with or displace or <br /> remove any buildings, bridges, tables, benches, fireplaces, railings, <br /> pavtngs or paving materials, water lines or other public utilities or <br /> parts or appurtenances thereof, signs, notices or placards, whether <br /> temporary or permanent, monuments, stakes, posts, or other boundary <br /> markers, or other structures or equipment, facilities or Park property or <br /> appurtenances whatsoever, either real or personal. <br /> 2. Fail to cooperate in maintaining restrooms and washrooms in a <br /> neat and sanitary condition. <br /> 3. Dig or remove any soil, rock, sand, stones, trees, shrubs or <br /> plants or other wood or materials, or make any excavation by tool, <br /> equipment, blasting or other means or agency. <br /> 4. Damage, cut, carve, mark, transplant or remove any plant, or <br /> injure the bark, or pick flowers or seed of any tree or plant, dig in or <br /> otherwise disturb grass areas, or in any other way injure the natural <br /> beauty or usefulness of any area. <br /> 5. Construct or erect any building or structure of whatever kind, <br /> whether permanent or temporary, or run or string any public service <br /> utility into, upon, or across such lands, except on special written permit <br /> issued hereunder. <br /> 6. Throw, discharge, or otherwise place or cause to be placed in <br /> the waters of any fountains, pond, lake, stream or other body of water in <br /> or adjacent to any Park or any tributary, stream, storm sewer, or drain <br /> flowing into such water, any substance, matter or thing, liquid or solid, <br /> which will or may result in the pollution of said waters. <br /> 7. Take into, carry through, or put into any park, any rubbish, <br /> refuse, garbage or other material. Such refuse and rubbish shall be <br /> deposited in receptacles so provided. Where receptacles are not provided, <br /> all such rubbish or waste shall be carried away from the Park by the <br /> person responsible for its presence, and properly disposed of elsewhere. <br /> 8. Attach or place any sign, banner, wire, rope or cable, or any <br /> other contrivance to any building, sign, tree or other Park property by <br /> use of nails or staples. These items may be attached with tape or thumb <br /> tacks and must be removed before leaving the area. <br /> 9. Cause or permit any animal, under a person's custody or his <br /> control, to enter the Park, except a dog restrained by a leash not <br /> exceeding 6 feet in length, except when such animal is part of a Park <br /> program. Further, the person having custody of the dog or animal in a <br /> Park program shall be responsible for the removal of any animal solid <br /> waste. <br /> 10. Bring, use, ride, or drive a horse, pony, mule, cow or any <br /> other animal in any part of the Park unless the animal is part of a Park <br /> sponsored program, except as provided for directly above in subsection <br /> 3.9. <br /> 11. Damage or alter any wildlife habitat or area within the Park <br /> except as undertaken by authorized Park personnel or their agents as a <br /> bona fide wildlife management practice. <br /> <br /> <br />
