178 <br /> <br /> 7. Interfere with or in any manner hinder any employee of the Park <br />in the performance of his duties. <br /> <br />Section 13. Enforcement. <br /> 1. Enforcement of this ordinance is punishable by i~mediate <br /> suspension from the Park for not more than thirty days. The Director of <br /> Parks and Recreation or his designee is empowered to invoke this <br /> suspension. Authorized Park personnel are empowered to invoke expulsion <br /> for not more than three days. <br /> In addition, Park personnel authorized by the Board of County <br /> Commissioners shall have the duty and responsibility to enforce this <br /> ordinance and shall be empowered to issue citations for violations as set <br /> forth in section 14 below when in their judgment any provisions have been <br /> violated. <br /> 2. Each person receiving a citation may within 15 days of its <br /> issuance pay, as a penalty in full satisfaction of such violation, the sum <br /> or sums set forth in this ordinance. Failure of such person to render <br /> payment of said amount, within 15 days, shall render such person subject <br /> to punishment for a misdemeanor. <br /> <br />Section 14. Violations and Fines. <br /> 1. Parking violation with corresponding fines are listed below: <br /> 1. Parking in Handicapped Area $10.00 <br /> 2. Speeding and/or Reckless Driving $10.00 <br /> 3. Parking on Grass $ 5.00 <br /> 4. Parking on Road Shoulder $ 5.00 <br /> 5. Parking in Fire Lane $ 5.00 <br /> 6. Other Parking Violations $ 5.00 <br /> Any violation of the foregoing regulations relating to <br /> operation of a motor vehicle or parking shall constitute an <br /> infraction. <br /> 2. Violations of Section 5, subsections 2, 3, or 4 are punishable <br /> by the appropriate penalties and/or laws governing inland waters as set <br /> forth by the North Carolina Wildlife Resources Commission. Any and all <br /> enforcement officers of the Wildlife Commission have full authority to <br /> enforce these regulations. <br /> 3. Violations of all other ordinance sections as outlined above <br /> shall constitute a misdemeanor and shall be punishable by a fine of not <br /> more than $50.00, or imprisonment not exceeding 30 days, or both. <br /> <br />Section 15. Other Relief Available. <br /> This ordinance may be enforced by any appropriate remedy authorized by <br /> N.C,G,S, 153A-123. <br /> <br />Section 16. Severability. <br /> If any provision of the Ordinance or its application to any person or <br /> circumstances is held invalid, such invalidity shall not affect other <br /> provisions or applications of the Ordinance which can be given effect <br /> without the invalid provision or application, and to this end the <br /> provisions of the Ordinance are declared to be severable. <br /> <br />Section 17.
