178 7. Interfere with or in any manner hinder any employee of the Park in the performance of his duties. Section 13. Enforcement. 1. Enforcement of this ordinance is punishable by i~mediate suspension from the Park for not more than thirty days. The Director of Parks and Recreation or his designee is empowered to invoke this suspension. Authorized Park personnel are empowered to invoke expulsion for not more than three days. In addition, Park personnel authorized by the Board of County Commissioners shall have the duty and responsibility to enforce this ordinance and shall be empowered to issue citations for violations as set forth in section 14 below when in their judgment any provisions have been violated. 2. Each person receiving a citation may within 15 days of its issuance pay, as a penalty in full satisfaction of such violation, the sum or sums set forth in this ordinance. Failure of such person to render payment of said amount, within 15 days, shall render such person subject to punishment for a misdemeanor. Section 14. Violations and Fines. 1. Parking violation with corresponding fines are listed below: 1. Parking in Handicapped Area $10.00 2. Speeding and/or Reckless Driving $10.00 3. Parking on Grass $ 5.00 4. Parking on Road Shoulder $ 5.00 5. Parking in Fire Lane $ 5.00 6. Other Parking Violations $ 5.00 Any violation of the foregoing regulations relating to operation of a motor vehicle or parking shall constitute an infraction. 2. Violations of Section 5, subsections 2, 3, or 4 are punishable by the appropriate penalties and/or laws governing inland waters as set forth by the North Carolina Wildlife Resources Commission. Any and all enforcement officers of the Wildlife Commission have full authority to enforce these regulations. 3. Violations of all other ordinance sections as outlined above shall constitute a misdemeanor and shall be punishable by a fine of not more than $50.00, or imprisonment not exceeding 30 days, or both. Section 15. Other Relief Available. This ordinance may be enforced by any appropriate remedy authorized by N.C,G,S, 153A-123. Section 16. Severability. If any provision of the Ordinance or its application to any person or circumstances is held invalid, such invalidity shall not affect other provisions or applications of the Ordinance which can be given effect without the invalid provision or application, and to this end the provisions of the Ordinance are declared to be severable. Section 17. Effective Date. This Ordinance becomes effective upon its adoption, and repeals all prior ordinances in conflict therewith. Adopted this the 17th day of June, 1991.
