The Contract provided funds on a matching basis for equipment <br />for the Emergency Medical Services. <br /> <br />EQUIPMENT FUNDED FOR CABARRUS COUNTY <br /> FOR THE CABARRUS EMS <br /> <br />ITEM ESTIMATED COST <br />12 pagers $6,000.00 <br /> <br />MAXIMUM GRANT AVAILABLE <br /> $3,000.00 <br /> <br />SPECIAL CONDITIONS: <br />(1) Radio pager or monitor receiver purchases shall be limited to the number <br /> of certified EMTs on a provider's roster. Providers receiving radio <br /> pagers or monitor devices must be routinely dispatched from the <br /> consolidated county-wide dispatch center equipped with appropriate <br /> encoding equipment to alert the pagers or monitor devices. Requests for <br /> this equipment must include the disposition of any current equipment where <br /> utilization will be changed or any equipment scheduled to be traded, sold, <br /> surplussed, or "thrown away." The equipment approved or purchase, when <br /> inventoried with current operational equipment, must not exceed the <br /> requirements of only one pager or monitor receiver per active certified <br /> member of the squad. <br />(2) The County shall be (and maintain) current license by the FCC for all <br /> equipment funded by this agreement. <br />(3) All equipment purchased must meet the standards, guideline, <br /> recommendations, and specifications of the Office of Emergency Medical <br /> Services where these items exist. Ail VHF radio equipment must operate <br /> on 155.280 and 155.340 MHz at a minimum. <br /> <br /> UPON MOTION of Commissioner Hamby, seconded by Commissioner Barnhart and <br />unanimously carried, the board approved Change Order No. 3 ($0.00) for Coddle <br />Creek Reservoir with Blythe Industries, Inc. The Change Order called for the <br />following modifications at no change in cost: Type A Riprap - Modify the <br />gradation requirement.
