273 <br /> <br /> UPON MOTION of Commissioner Payne, seconded by Commissioner Barnhart and <br />unanimously carried, the Board approved the addition of the following roads to <br />the State system: Extension SR 1277 Bedfordshire Drive, Excalibar Court, Camlan <br />Court, Galahad Lane, River Hills Drive, and Whispering Oaks Drive. <br /> UPON MOTION of Commissioner Payne, seconded by Commissioner Barnhart and <br />unanimously carried, the Board approved the following budget amendment and <br />Amendment to the Capital Project Ordinance for the Senior Center. <br /> <br />BUDGET REVISION/AMENDMENT REQUEST <br /> <br />DEPARTMENT OF SENIOR CENTER <br />AMOUNT $39,660.87 <br />PURPOSE OF REQUEST: To receive funds from the Council on Aging to be used for <br />a public address system and expansion of the parking lot at the Senior Center. <br /> <br /> Line Item Present Approved Revised <br />Account Number Budget Increase Decrease Budget <br /> <br />34-9-36-10-830 24,100.00 <br /> Capital Outlay - Other Improvements <br /> <br />39,660.87 63,760,~87 <br /> <br />34-6-37-60-090 55,168.00 <br /> Contributions and Private Donations <br /> <br />39,660.87 94,828.~87 <br /> <br />CABARRUS COUNTY SENIOR CENTER <br />CAPITAL PROJECT ORDINANCE <br /> <br />AMENDMENT <br /> <br /> BE IT ORDAINED by the Board of Commissioners of the County of <br />Cabarrus, North Carolina that the following amendment to the <br />Cabarrus County Senior Center Capital Project Ordinance as adopted <br />on September 17, 1990, be approved: <br /> <br />Revenues: <br /> Contributions and Private Donations $39,660.87 <br />Expenditures <br /> Capital Outlay-Other Improvements $39,660.87 <br />Purpose: <br /> To receive funds from the Council on Aging to be used for a <br />public address system and expansion of the parking lot. <br /> <br />Adopted this the 5th day of August, 1991. <br /> <br />/s/ Billy J. Bonds <br />Clerk to the Board <br /> <br /> UPON MOTION of Commissioner Payne, seconded by Commissioner Barnhart and <br />unanimously carried, the Board authorized the Chairman to execute the Agreement <br />between Cabarrus County and The University of North Carolina at Charlotte, <br />Project Agreement #2975-92-0015, for the University to provide support services <br />for the Carolinas Transportation Compact, a regional transportation planning <br />organization, for the Fiscal Year 1991-1992o Cabarrus County's cost for these <br />services is in the amount of $12,150.00. <br /> UPON MOTION of Commissioner Payne, seconded by Commissioner Barnhart and <br />unanimously carried, the Board authorized the Chairman to execute the "Right of <br />Way Encroachment Agreement for Primary and Secondary Highways" for the following <br />roads: Pickney Court, Vanderhorst Drive, Ashley Drive, Bostwood Lane and Old <br />Wagon Lane. <br /> <br />NEW BUSINESS <br /> <br /> Commissioner Carpenter introduced a proposal to set up a Task Force on <br />Homelessness in Cabarrus County.
