314 <br /> <br /> WITNESSETH <br /> For the purpose and subject to the terms and conditions <br />hereinafter set forth, the County hereby contracts for the services <br />of the Provider: and the Provider agrees to provide the services to <br />the County in accordance with the terms of this agreement, and in <br />accordance with G.S. 105-299 and Article 20 of Chapter 160A of the <br />General Statutes of North Carolina. <br /> I. <br /> The services to be performed by the Provider shall be as <br />follows: <br /> The Provider's Tax Assessor and/or members of the Tax <br /> Assessor's staff shall perform and assist in the <br /> conduction of an audit or audits of property tax <br /> accounts of the County as agreed upon by the Tax <br /> Assessors of the respective parties to this agreement, <br /> such auditing services to be provided to assist the <br /> County's Tax Assessor in the performance of his <br /> statutory duties. <br /> II. <br /> The services of the Provider shall begin on an agreed date by <br />the Assessors, and unless sooner terminated by mutual consent or as <br />hereinafter provided, shall be provided and continue until <br />completed; provided that either party shall have the right to <br />terminate this agreement for services upon thirty (30) days notice <br />in writing to the other party. <br /> III. <br /> As full compensation for the Provider's services, the County <br />agrees to pay the Provider the sums set forth below, payable in <br />installments as follows, upon receipt by the County of proper <br />documentation that the services have been provided and expenses <br /> incurred (or to be advanced) in accordance with this agreement: <br /> (1) One dollar ($1.00) and other valuable <br /> consideration. <br /> (2) Actual travel expenses of the Provider outside of <br /> Forsyth County, including the Provider's reimbursable <br /> mileage rate, meals, lodging and other expenses. <br /> (3) Any other expenses the Provider may incur as a <br /> result of performing the services, as invoiced or billed <br /> by the Provider to the County. <br /> IV. <br /> The County agrees to hold the Provider harmless from and <br />against any and all claims or expenses, including attorney fees, <br />made or loss, claim, damage or liability incurred by the Provider <br />or to which the Provider may become subject or which may be claimed <br />by any person or entity as a result of this agreement or the <br />services rendered by the Provider. <br /> IN WITNESS WHEREOF, the County and Provider have set their <br />hands and seals as of the day and year first above written. <br /> <br />ATTEST: <br />/s/ Frankie F, Bonds <br />Clerk to the Board <br />(SEAL) <br /> <br />ATTEST: <br />/s/ Jane F, Cole <br />Clerk to the Board <br />(SEAL) <br /> <br />CABARRUS COUNTY <br />By/s/ Billy J.
