<br />County of Cabarrus, North Carolina, the Board of Aldermen of the City of Concord,
<br />North Carolina, the City Council of the City of Kannapolts, North Carolina, the
<br />Town Council of the Town of Harrisburg, North Carolina, and the Board of
<br />Commissioners of the Town of Mount Pleasant, North Carolina, are as follows:
<br /> (1) The name of such authority shall be the "WATER AND SEWER
<br /> AUTHORITY OF CABARRUS COUNTY" (hereinafter referred to as
<br /> "Authority").
<br /> (2) The Authority is organized under Section 162A-3 of the
<br /> North Carolina Water and Sewer Authorities Act, as amended.
<br /> (3) The names of the organizing political subdivisions of the
<br /> Authority are the County of Cabarrus, North Carolina, the City of
<br /> Concord, North Carolina, the City of Kannapolts, North Carolina, the
<br /> Town of Harrisburg, North Carolina and the Town of Mount Pleasant,
<br /> North Carolina.
<br /> (4) The Authority initially shall have nine members, two
<br /> appointed by the Board of Commissioners for the County of Cabarrus,
<br /> North Carolina, two appointed by the Board of Aldermen of the City
<br /> of Concord, North Carolina, two appointed by the City Council of the
<br /> City of Kannapolis, North Carolina, one appointed by the Town
<br /> Council of the Town of Harrisburg, North Carolina, one appointed by
<br /> the Board of Commissioners of the Town of Mount Pleasant, North
<br /> Carolina, and one appointed by the Board of Commissioners for
<br /> Cabarrus County, North Carolina with the advice of the other
<br /> organizing political subdivisions.
<br /> The names and addresses of the first members of the Authority
<br /> appointed by the Board of Commissioners for the County of Cabarrus,
<br /> North Carolina are:

<br />caused these Articles of Incorporation to be executed by the
<br />Chairman of its Board of Commissioners and its corporate seal to be
