Duncan, Chairman <br />Cabarrus County Board of Education Kannapolls City Board of Education <br /> September 9, 1991 September 9, 1991 <br /> <br />UNFINISHED BUSINESS <br /> <br /> UPON MOTION of Commissioner Barnhart, seconded by Commissioner Carpenter <br />and unanimously carried, the Board adopted the following budget amendment. <br /> <br />BUDGET REVISION/AMENDMENT REQUEST <br /> <br />DEPARTMENT OF SHERIFF <br />AMOUNT $37,929.00 <br />TYPE OF ADJUSTMENT: TRANSFER BETWEEN DEPARTMENTS/FUNDS <br />PURPOSE OF REQUEST: Telecommunications equipment module <br /> <br />Line Item Present Approved Revised <br />Account Number Budget Increase Decrease Budget <br /> <br />01-9-19-10-660 <br /> Contingency <br /> <br />$193,689.40 <br /> <br />$37,929.00 $155,760.40 <br /> <br />O1-9-21-10-860 $545,381.67 <br /> Equipment & Furniture <br /> <br />$37,929.00 <br /> <br />$583,310.67 <br /> <br /> UPON MOTION of Commissioner Barnhart, seconded by Commissioner Payne and <br />unanimously carried, the Board approved the change in the representation of the <br />Cabarrus County Parks and Recreation Advisory Commission from school district <br />representation to township representation as recommended by the Parks and <br />Recreation Advisory Commission and including a grandfather clause for the <br />present members. Also, the Board increased the membership from ten (10) to <br />eleven (11) members with the addition of one (1) "at-large" member. The change <br />in representation as approved by the Board was as follows: <br /> <br />From School District Representation: <br />1 member - Youth Appointment (Representative from one of the high schools) <br />1 member - City of Concord School District <br />1 member - Odell (Winecoff) School District <br />1 member - A. T. Allen (Wolf Meadow) School District <br />1 member - Harrisburg School District <br />3 members - City of Kannapolls High School Districts <br />1 member - Mt. Pleasant High School District <br />1 member - Southeast Cabarrus District <br /> <br />To Township Representation: <br />1 member - Youth Appointment (Representative from one of the high schools) <br />2 members Townships 1 (Harrisburg) and 2 (Poplar Tent) <br />3 members Townships 3 (Odell) and 4 (Kannapolis) <br />1 member - Townships 5 (New Gilead), 6 (Rimertown), 7 (Gold Hill), and 8 <br /> (Mount Pleasant) <br />1 member Townships 9 (Georgeville) and 10 (Midland) <br />1 member - Township 11 (Central Cabarrus) <br />1 member - Township 12 (Concord) <br />1 member - At-large <br /> <br /> The item on the agenda relative to the Water and Sewer Proposal was <br />deferred until a later time. <br /> <br />NEW BUSINESS CONSENT <br /> <br /> UPON MOTION of Commissioner Barnhart, seconded by Commissioner Hamby and <br />unanimously carried, the Board adopted the following Resolution and authorized <br />the Chairman to execute the Resolution on behalf of Cabarrus County. <br /> <br /> <br />
