338 <br /> <br /> UPON MOTION of Commissioner Hamby, seconded by Commissioner Simmons with <br />Commissioners Hamby, Simmons, and Melvin and Chairman Lentz voting for, the <br />Board approved the disposition of paid water receipts for the period 1984-1988 <br />as requested by Ms. Derelle Kiser, Tax Collector. The Board further authorized <br />the submission of a request to the Division of Archives and History for <br />permission to destroy said records. <br /> UPON MOTION of Commissioner Hamby, seconded by Commissioner Simmons with <br />Commissioners Hamby, Simmons, and Melvin and Chairman Lentz voting for, the <br />Board adopted the following resolution. <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION OF COMMITMENT <br /> TO FURTHER FAIR HOUSING <br />WITHIN THE COUNTY OF CABARRUS <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the County of Cabarrus Board of Commissioners is <br />familiar with Title VIII, Civil Rights Act of 1968, amended by the <br />Housing and Community Development Act of. 1974; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the County of Cabarrus is aware that they are obligated <br />to be in compliance with the "State Fair Housing Act: (Under Chapter <br />4lA of the General Statutes of North Carolina); and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the County of Cabarrus will administer programs and <br />activities relating to housing and urban development in a manner to <br />affirmatively further fair housing. <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, LET IT BE RESOLVED, that the Cabarrus County <br />Board of Commissioners agrees to commit to fair housing within the <br />County of Cabarrus and will substantially comply with all Federal, <br />State and Local laws, rules, regulations, and ordinances applicable <br />in their efforts to further fair housing within the County of <br />Cabarrus. <br /> <br />ADOPTED this 26th day of March, 1990. <br /> <br />ATTEST: <br />/s/ Frankie F.
