(4) <br /> <br />354 <br /> <br />Petition 90-07. Joe Plott, Jr., The Blackwolf Company, Agent. End <br />of Albany and Maple Drives, township 2, Map/PIN 5611-21-8773, 9.2 <br />acres. Wishes to rezone from R-40 and R-15 to R-9. The Planning <br />Board voted 5-0 to approve this petition contingent upon the Agent <br />for the petitioner providing proof to the County Commissioners that <br />a sewer line easement can be obtained. <br /> <br /> Mr. David Wilson, agent for the petitioner, reported that he had secured <br />written approval from Mr. Bruton Smith, adjoining property owner, for the <br />location of a sewer line easement on Mr. Smith's property. <br /> There being no one else present to speak regarding Petition 90-07, <br />Chairman Lentz closed the public hearing. <br /> UPON MOTION of Commissioner Melvin, seconded by Chairman Lentz and <br />unanimously carried, the Board approved Petition 90-07 by Joe Plott, Jr., The <br />Blackwolf Company, Agent, to rezone property at the end of Albany and Maple <br />Drives, Map/PIN 5611-21-8773, 9.2 acres from R-40 and R-15 to R-9 contingent <br />upon the fact that the sewer line easement is reviewed and accepted by the <br />County Attorney. <br /> <br />ZONING TEXT AMENDMENTS <br /> <br />(1) <br /> <br />Petition 90-02. Cabarrus County Zoning Department. Section 3.2- <br />4, "Schedule of Use Regulations." Add'line item for Small Engine <br />Repair. The Planning Board voted 5-0 to approve this petition. <br /> <br /> There was no one present to speak either for or against the Proposed text <br />amendment, and Chairman Lentz closed the public hearing on Petition 90-02. <br /> UPON MOTION of Commissioner Simmons, seconded by Commissioner Moss and <br />unanimously carried, the Board approved Zoning Text Petition 90-02 as follows: <br /> <br />Section Number and Name: 3.2-4 Schedule of Use Regulations <br /> <br />Purpose of Change: <br />To create a line item for the repair of small engines, such as <br />lawnmowers, chainsaws, small generators, etc. <br /> <br />A-2 A-I ARR C-3 C-4 <br />G C G P P <br /> <br />(2) <br /> <br />Petition 90-03 Cabarrus County Zoning Department. Section 9.7- <br />3. Change the conditional use permit section to read: "Automobile <br />Repair Garages and Small Engine Repair Shops." The Planning Board <br />voted 5-0 to approve this petition. <br /> <br /> There was no one present to speak either for or against the proposed Text <br />amendment, and Chairman Lentz closed the public hearing for Petition 90-03. <br /> UPON MOTION of Commissioner Moss, seconded by Commissioner Melvin and <br />unanimously carried, the Board approved Zoning Text Petition 90-03 as follows: <br /> <br />Section Number and Name: 9.7-3 Automobile Repair Garages <br /> <br />Purpose of Change: <br />To accommodate the requested line item "Small Engine Repair Shop". <br /> <br />Change Section 9.7-3 to: <br />Automobile Repair Garages and Small Engine Repair Shops <br /> <br />NEW BUSINESS <br /> <br /> Ms. Mildred Ashbury and Ms. Florence Potter requested water and sewer <br />service for residents of Troutman and Cal Bost Roads. The Board received the <br />request and asked Mr. Henry Waldroup, Superintendent of Water and Sewer, to <br />prepare information relative to the possible provision of water service to the <br />area. Information to be provided included the number of houses to be served, <br />the required amount of water line, and the approximate cost of providing the <br />service. <br /> The Board reviewed the correspondence from Mr. Joe C. Stowe, Jr, Director <br />of the Charlotte - Mecklenburg Utility Department (CMUD) regarding the <br />possibility of CMUD providing service in the northwestern part of Cabarrus <br /> <br /> <br />
