The County of Cabarrus agrees to annually provide a supplement in <br />the sum of $250.00 per month to the City of This sum shall be <br />payable as specified in the Cabarrus County Fire Protection Resolution. <br /> 2. The City of ~ .. agrees to furnish and provide continuing <br />fire protection service to all property lying within its boundaries and to <br />provide mutual aid to other Fire Departments in Cabarrus County as provided in <br />N.C.G.S. 69-40. <br /> 3. The City of agrees to operate within the guidelines set <br />forth in the Cabarrus County Fire Protection Resolution, attached to this <br />contract. <br /> 4. In comparing the cost of the <br />convalescent transportation service with the revenue collected, he commented on <br />the high expense of providing this service. To insure a cost effective emergency <br />medical services system, Mr. Attkisson recommended such steps as establishing <br />a County ordinance giving the County EMS the sole responsibility for providing <br />ambulance service in the county and establishing rules and responsibilities for <br />other agencies to provide convalescent transport services. <br /> The Board by consensus asked Mr. Fletcher L. Hartsell, Jr., to work with <br />Mr. Aubrey Attktsson in preparing a draft of a proposed ordinance relative to <br />the emergency medical services in Cabarrus County. This ordinance is to be <br />considered by the Board in August. <br /> Mr. Paul Watson, Engineer with HDR Engineering, Inc., reported that he had <br />not yet received comments from the Fish and Wildlife Services relative to the <br />Section 404 permit for the Coddle Creek Reservoir project.
